I didn't say it was a reason to not have a spotter. I just bothers me to be wasting someone else's time(and mine when I'm spotting my spotter) when there's a mostly viable alternative. Efficiency!

You only need a spotter if you're using barbells and doing an exercise that might crush you. If you're using appropriately heavy dumbbells you don't have anything to worry about.

I saw this dude, pretty big, bouncing with his weights, rocking his whole body, i just wanted to yell at the guy "stop doing that b4 u fuck up bad!" Like that funny gif of the rock yelling at that tiny dude trying to squat some insane weight.

What? How am I going to fracture my skull? I think you guys are confused. The alternative isn't "no spotter", it's using machines that require no spotter.

Or your spotter is your workout buddy and you're both on the same set of exercises and they're recovering while spotting.

But these days, the only push exercise I do with a barbell is bench and I pretty much know a rep before I'm about to fail and just call it there or half rack it like a bitch.

The fuck is wrong with you all? I don't use a spotter ever. If I were ever doing something where I don't think I could lift it, I'd just go in the power rack. And really, the only thing that that'd be relevant for is bench press.

It's fine if you do more of a cross-training type routine just to slender up. But a lot of us try, or have tried, to push ourselves to our limits to try to get a bit bigger. You need a spotter for that.

My workout routine is a cross between bodybuilding and powerlifting. In fact, I'm a skinny guy trying to gain weight, I just check this thread to see what's going on. I'm currently 170 benching 210 for reps. That puts me almost in the advanced category of lifters. I don't use a spotter. Worst case scenario is I fail and dump the weights. That's only happened once.
