So the Raj is just a Spa/Sightseeing park; albeit with a few opportunities for hunting. I was under the impression that tigers were endangered but not critically so; just looked it up and there may be as few as 20 (!!!???!!!) alive right now. Crazy.

One of those season 1 review videos showed that originally there was a website that had a date on it which put the park opening around 2020, which would put the present timeline around 2055. That website later had the date removed from it, so who knows what year the show takes place in now.

after episode 1 this season i guessed that Ford had uploaded his consciousness to the park's computers before he died. after rewatching the season 1 finale and hearing that^ i am convinced.

Ford is actually a patient at a mental hospital and everything we are watching is just a re-enactment of the story he tells to whoever will listen. Each character represents a different person in the asylum.

I should just wait for the entire series to come out. Unlike last season I don't really care about each individual episode. The mystery being hinted at is just ..meh. I hate waiting an entire week to be disappointed. I wish they'd have Netflix'd this motherfucker so I can just spend an entire night or two watching it all and then going "Ah. Okay, cool.", rather than fucking sitting through the several filler episodes where stuff happens but not really.

New theory: Westworld is actually inside the Matrix. It is the robots' attempt to figure out a way to eliminate the need for people as batteries and dispose of humanity once and for all.

he also seemed to have taken over the park at large, imo. when they met El Lazo it was like Ford was in the park's computers and improvising the response. i suppose it's not outlandish for him to have scripted the whole thing prior, but the predictive accuracy he'd need for William's actions is pretty crazy if so.
