I'd say the biggest takeaway from this episode is that the Hosts aren't hearing voices but they're actively having their core code changed in the park. And only the ones that Arnold built. Gen 1 hosts look the same as any others as well.

They don't keep flashing the old logo because they're lazy or because of some editing oversight. They're saying, "Hey look, we're depicting two time periods here. We want you to look very closely and figure this shit out."

You're being blackmailed (somehow) by the robot you routinely take apart and stitch up after it gets killed daily. How would she out him? Just mem wipe her and KEEP MEM wiping her over and over again. Or say she needs full repair and send to maintenance. Bash her skull in and say it came that way. Who's going to know? Or care.
I also refuse to believe that something like this wouldn't be caught instantly. Ginger even says there's flags for that kind of thing. But the Maeve corrects him somehow? What?
Giving your robots super intelligence seems to be an inherently high risk feature they throttle intentionally. They would have safeguards if it ever happened.

I believe this was the first episode after the months long production halt as well, hopefully it doesn't indicate the show is already going down hill.
Keep in mind there is a one line in a previous episode, almost throwaway, setting the backstory about the world that is 30+ years in the future. I forget what exactly was said, but basically it was that everyone is happy and lacks for nothing except a purpose. I could see people who live in a world with no excitement or violence or anything not wanting to lose a job (which are probably rare in a "star trek" world), and if a robot that is supposed to never remember anything OR hurt anyone starts threatening you and your job you might just instinctively follow its orders. They could also be bred, as humans, through indoctrination and stuff to follow orders from authority figures. It is weak, but I am hoping its part of a bigger thing in how the outside world is that we don't probably see until next season. Sort of falls apart though when you think about how rebellious just those two are - breaking rules to learn AI coding, fucking robots on the side, etc.

I did enjoy seeing mini-Ford's face open up and show us what the 1st gen bots looked like inside. I didn't hate this episode, but the tech/Maeve scenes were a bit far fetched. The creative director pissing on the map was pretty funny.

It's even more dumb because we have conflicting proof that other dudes there fuck the storage models anyway and even in maintenance mode it records stuff.
Basically the devs have way more "hidden features" if you will installed so there's nothing to indicate they don't already know. If anything they DO already know that the maintenance guys run the train on the models on the regular. Seems like it'd be something everyone is aware of they just don't talk about.

Just say, uh IDK boss. I was toying around and messed it up. It was in sleep mode the whole time and I didn't realize I altered the intelligence. MAH BAD BOSS MAN, don't fire me.
I think' bashing the robot's skull in because it awoke in sleep mode three times and it scared you would have been an equally good play for them.

yea i'm sure they do, sorta like how if you own a deli store, and you can't account for the weekly $100, loss, your cashier is robbing you, you can't prove it, and aside from being a thief, she does good work, and finding a new cashier would just be too troublesome, so it's acceptable loss.
Even tho, low level maintenance guys are basically fucking million dollar fuck dolls.

Considering these robo-whores get banged thousands of times. What's a little more in and out before you install a new vajayjay for them? Victimless crime and arguable job perk.
Or you could just hire dudes who aren't prone to bang robots or whatever. Just a thought.
