i just finished watching all 8 episodes so far over the last few days and burning through the thread. there are some things that are pretty obvious if you are watching it so close together. for one, as people have said, it's pretty obvious that Dolores' scenes are done from the unreliable narrator point of view. every scene with her in it just simply cannot be trusted, so using her scenes to try to suss out any conspiracy theories just aren't going to work.
secondly, the church being dug up/not dug up. feel free to correct me, but i think we are getting two separate towns mixed up. the white, intact church is in the same town the lawrence is from, is it not? that's the town where the host approaches dolores to bring her back when william says she's with him. the broken down, buried steeple to be beyond the edge of the map. it's a little confusing, i admit, watching it so quickly. My memory wants to blur it all together. the town that Ford visits and freezes with the... uh.. contractors or whatever, talking about whether or not to extend the canyon is the one where everyone has already been. clearly there is a connection because lawrence's daughter is from there.
A question i came up with while watching the last episode... so Dolores is the oldest active host... we've been told and shown on several occasions how often hosts change roles... it's interesting that Dolores has been dolores abernathy for 30+ years, along with teddy. which brings up another question... how long has teddy been around? from MiB we kind of get the impression that the hosts who are directly involved with that specific narrative have never changed roles. is that just the a byproduct of needing recognizable actors in those roles? or does that lend credence to MiB being a host created to find arnold for ford?
