Been playing Lost Judgment on PS5 a lot lately, great game. Although I started noticing some stuttering using the left stick lately, might have some drift in it already.

I tried other games and I didn't notice anything with the movement like in Lost Judgment, might be the game itself.

How is it? I thought WL3 was pretty, pretty, pretty good.
A few minor balance changes, a crafting system, and tweaks to some of the quests mostly in the form of skill check changes or closing the loopholes on some shortcuts. Have not gotten to the new content yet, but I like most of the core changes thus far. Too soon to tell if they toned down mele a little too much, but they seem to have made explosives a lot more viable.

About an hour into Mass Effect: Andromeda and the game feels sloppy as fuck. Only paid 10$ (or 20$, don't remember) for it but am, like most games I skipped at release to pick up on sale at a later date, feeling like I shouldn't have even bothered. ME:A is additionally dissapointing because it doesn't even feel like a Mass Effect game with how sloppy everything is in terms of presentation and gameplay.

Decided to pick up the Avengers. Doesn't hold a candle to Spider-Man PS4, and I'm certainly not going to treat it like an MMO and play it continuously as the developers so clearly want, but I am actually enjoying it. They did do a legitimately good job with how they designed each of the characters, with each one feeling distinct even though they're built off of the same base. Feel safe saying that this will be one of those games I revisit with every future content drop.

Started a new playthrough of Factorio, with biters off. Not sure what my goal is for the playthrough, but for now just building stuff!

I played Hades for like 5 minutes before refunding. I'm just so salty in my first impressions of games, even when they are really highly rated. Same thing with Risk of Rain 2. Everyone loves it and I hated it.

I often reject games with 10 minutes of play time over the dumbest shit like the style, or the tutorial or whatever. Maybe I am just too old and crusty, maybe too impatient.

What about the first 5 minutes created all the salt?

I don't really mean that the game made me salty but that I am generally disagreeable and sometimes stupid stuff irritates me in games that the general public seems to like. In Hades, I think there was something about the voice acting and the art style that irritated me. It's probably a good game and I am just an asshole.

I was gonna say something snarky but then I remembered I am the only person on Earth that didn't like The Witcher 3 so...

I spent 6 hours on it and then uninstalled and never played it again. The combat in Witcher games is just so janky/boring that I cannot bring myself to spend the 50-100 hours dealing with it to enjoy the other aspects. I have also never beaten Skyrim despite many attempts where I just end up wandering off to BFE for countless hours and then quit. =D

But there are so many great RPGs in the world that neither are a big loss.

Hades though is the 100% defacto champion of roguelite gaming, accessible to all skill levels, while having such top notch quality in all aspects it puts all of the rest to shame. If you dislike it and still play other roguelites then probably off the rocker ;]

Having a gaming paralysis analysis. Can't decide if I want to start Scalet Nexus, finish Age of Empires IV campaigns or play a mindless time waster like Forza 5.

MH:Rise PC and Lost Ark NA launch where are you to fill up hundreds of gaming hours.

Battlefleet Gothic Armada 1.

Goddamn this game is annoying as fuck. The skirmishes are ok but the campaign was designed by a masochist. The second mission is an escort against faster opponents. Another early mission has you stealing info from the enemy and you have no idea how many times they steal it back and escape at the last second. I googled it and the rage on this mission on release was real, and persists to this day evidently.

Luckily, my kid likes to play all the games I upload on my computer, and although I may try a couple more times, the boy seems to be getting my money's worth out of it. And that is my goal in going back and playing these games on Steam.

Edit - I tried an early campaign mission two more times and failed at the last second both times. That would be it for me. Moving on.

Finished the main story in The Witcher 3. Just a great game, even with the combat being kinda "meh". I couldn't imagine playing it on anything other than the highest difficulty. Hearts of Stone next, then Blood & Wine.

Fucked around on Forza Horizon 5 last night. That game is dumb, mindless fun - only one issue though. It made me want to buy a wheel & cockpit setup again and play a real sim racing game...

Finished Control...

The ending is unsatisfying imo. Way too much left explained in the base game and Im not buying the DLC. I didnt even buy Control.

It is on my wishlist. Let us know how it plays out. The aesthetic looks interesting.
I played through the first campaign yesterday and really enjoyed it. I'm definitely going to go through all the campaigns, and try some of the just random ones after. My initial 8 hours of play would say it's definitely worth playing

I couldn't get into Witcher 3 either, but I'm the type of guy that has never once played a game or enjoyed a game for it's story.

last week I tore down my whole 2k base in factorio because the train network was idiotic and now I'm rebuilding. I can't let go of 81 mining productivity and over 320 hours spent on this base. I'm thinking of going full Nilaus megabase just to see how high my shit rig can go before ups drops to unplayable.
