Yeah, it’s not a road most people should drive. We saw a god damn 25 foot motor home pulling a full size 1/2 ton pickup on the Tail. Just mental.

I cannot be sure, but it is a most likely - that I road that passage as a kid, in a big ol 1980's giant RWD car. I just remember looking out the window and it was just, road ends like 1ft away, and down the mountain side. Dad and Mom where like "Ohh look at the little waterfall!" every so often on the side of the road. My Dad grew up in Cherokee, and this was our vacation where we went there and many other places in that region.

I got to drive in a Hummer EV today. Was pretty cool. 4 wheel steering was pretty wild. It's also way too fast for its size but not like outrageous objectively. You get the feeling you'll be ok when you hit something.
Also, the interior is nice but like I dunno still a GM product.
I rate it worth a look if you really need a turn key monster truck.

Yea, the truck is so big that it feels like it must be like parking a dually but I've never pulled up the specs on it to see how it compares to a Raptor or a 3500 dually or whatever. If you go to Costco only its probably fine but good luck in most shitty parking lots.

I'm considering getting a Rivian as a daily driver. I recently came into procession of a small solar array, and with all the research I've done it looks like I could actually power the car with just solar. I'm not talking about longer trips and such, but day to day if I plug it in overnight it will always be ready to go in the morning. I like the look of them, and I drove one today. Surprisingly peppy, and the handling is outstanding. Comfortable, too.

Looks great as a city cruiser. I watched a review of their bed thing where dirt and gravel and whatever you carry in the bed gets into the frame permanently and noooope.
Granted it's "adventure" not "work". Also honestly I'd like to see any of these companies look like they're going to survive.
I'm more interested in the R2 platform.
