And in the case of infotainment systems make it FAR harder for third party infotainment head units to work with vehicles over the factory built ones.Digital is cheaper for the OEM to put in the car AND they charge more. Assholes.

That ship really sailed a long fucking time ago though. Any car system I've done has been with speaker level inputs into a DSP for the last ~15 years, and use the stock head unit. There's no nice car that you could put a DIN headunit in since the 90's.And in the case of infotainment systems make it FAR harder for third party infotainment head units to work with vehicles over the factory built ones.
Yeah, and where there are options they're more expensive and pretty bespoke. In my case the Cue systems in Caddys are really not that good (probably the one thing I've ever had a problem with on my CTS). There's an option, but it's almost a grand. But they pretty much reverse engineered the software (like jailbreaking a phone essentially) and fixed a bunch of crap Cadillac never saw fit to fix. That ship really sailed a long fucking time ago though. "I'm sorry sir, but your recent application for credit is denied."Bam! 2021 RT/Scat . Snagged some 300 Pirelli's rears. Added a 95mm TB. Ran the extra intake pipe. Thx to Lou's Custom Exhaust, got me a new cat back system, Louder, but waaaay deeper than the stock. Thing sounds Buuuuuuuetiful on startup!
Few things. Coming from a manual RT, fuckin Christ on some stix, the automatic Scat Pack is MUCH snappier and quicker. The track mode is nuts, and dangerous! Not sure why they have a sport mode on this thing, but whatever. I LIKE IT!

I just can't ever get behind the stupid fucking hood ornaments on these. It's not 1921 anymore.Thinking about switching to a 2022ish mercedes S580.
Depending on where you park it, it may not be a problem for very long.I just can't ever get behind the stupid fucking hood ornaments on these. It's not 1921 anymore.
Looks amazing. I still have fond memories of my Hellcat.Bam!

I've used the Harbor Freight version of the pull thingy with surprisingly good results on two different used cars I bought. Totally worth it. LINK.I put a little dint in my door...
PDR Estimate mobile removal guy 260$
I should see my self to the rustled jimmiys thread.
Anyone have exp trying themselves doing a little pull with an amazon kit or so?

Pic taken with an orange cone to be distorted to show it... it is small, but on a body line- driver door.

It's worth a try. I used mine on probably a dozen dents on a pretty abused Suzuki and didn't make any of them worse and improved the majority. When you run out, forget to put the cap on, or just plain kick it over, the solvent in the bottle is diluted Acetone. Thanks!
Got a 2nd quote for half- 140 cash, dudes like its a sharp ding and aluminum.. true… didnt think the mache was aluminum though..maybe it is i dont know.
Got this coming from the ‘zon for 15$ its the type I saw on a few you tube - the feet are adjustable and the location where it is I think that will help

Edit- AI says “While the hood and fenders of the Ford Mustang Mach-E are made of aluminum, the door panels themselves are made of high-strength steel outers over mild-steel inners. ”

theres only so much detail the human eye can see, so you also need a line lightForgot to order a grease pencil to follow the progress… but overall - I think if I even just reduce it some, I’ll be happy. Then Ill buff the paint some as its scratched a little in the dent…call it a day.
Also will try it on my wife’s van- it has the charger door dent that is typical on them.
the kits will just have the 15$ non light one, cuz you know thats the good and bad of kits, they'll start you off w/ "just enough, okish" tools but you can get more quality piece mealYeah I saw those in other kits - its a smart idea - whenever there is some “thing” - looking into all the tools and such is quite the adventure.
But, having all the proper tools and outliners really does make a difference. When I put in my traditional split duct Mr cool AC system for the house- buying all the proper sockets and whatever was really clutch in making the process smooth.
