Look you can put this to bed right now if you can show photographic proof that you didn't have over 20" wheels on your challenger. Show that asshole that you are a man of class and understand an appropriate balance is between the size of a wheel and the tire.

Outside the exhaust and adding a larger throttle body and air intake, I left it stock. Car was perfectly fine as is. I never was a rim guy. If I spend 80k on a car...THAT speaks for itself. Not some 1000 rims on a 80k car.

So I snagged a Scatpack Challenger. Should be here by Saturday. Just need my mechanic to look at it.

See Kirun? Brahma is a gentleman and a scholar.

What color did you get? Scatpack were the high output 5.7 trim package right?

Octane red. Exact same as I had before. This time a wide body.
That's a nice color. WB look nice but man the couple times I've driven challengers they felt like boats. I would fear taking that into a city.

Been a while since I saw this first hand, but here it was always dudebros that had this kind of thing. Put it like this, if you watched UFC (but never trained it), owned an Affliction shirt and/or anything with pooka shells on it, and didn't have a lifted full size truck, you owned one of the above.

I'm guessing that since those are getting to be cheap cars, the market is shifting.

OK so a piece of trim on my steering wheel is flaking a bit. Rabbit holes happened and now my question is should I replace my normal M-Sport steering wheel with a complete LCI M style carbon fiber/Alcantara flat bottom steering wheel with extended paddle shifters? Or should I just replace the trim piece and save money. I feel like it's the only piece of the car that I actually interact with my hands while driving so maybe it's worth it.

I personally don't like the feel of Alcantara - I'd rather have a nice leather wheel. If you are planning to keep the car, I think it's a decent upgrade assuming you enjoy it. One caution, not sure how BMW does things, but for some OEMs it's next to impossible to remove the switches from the wheel without breaking something, so, factor a complete set of new switches as well - it's probably better to keep your old wheel completely intact anyway, you could probably either sell it or hang onto it in case the next owner wanted to go back to the oem version.
