I bought a PS4 today and a game (I know black Friday but none of the bundled games appealed to me), and I get home and unwrap game to find some cheesedick had already purchased it, unsealed it, replaced game disc with a CD-R, and then resealed it back. Now to truck a 20 minutes back to the store I bought it at to make an exchange. It's 60 bucks, you crack whore, that you obviously had to buy it in the first place.

I may have said this before, but it rustles my jimmies that they use your zip code like a PIN now when you pay for gas at the pump. What a stupid fucking idea. The chances of someone getting my gas card and NOT also having my zip code are pretty fucking slim. If they stole my wallet, they will have my license. If they stole it from the mailbox, they will have the envelope it came in. Pretty much, this just protects the credit card company if I'm dumb enough to leave the card laying around all by itself. Oh but wait, they claim its for my protection /rolleyes. To top it off, I have so many former zip codes floating around in my head, I sometimes enter the wrong one. Since I online bank now, if not for this shit with the gas cards, I wouldn't even have to know my current zip code.

Stupid fucking idea. Ranks up there with putting fuel pumps inside the gas tank.

+1 to this shit. I moved and only at MF gas stations would my card be declined due to my zip being "wrong". Even when I tried the old zip the machine said it was wrong also. Tldr 3 months of bullshit for this issue.

So in Canada for many years we have chips with Pin #'s on credit cards. It works like your bankcard, you dont sign anything, you put it the machine and type in your code and done. I was in the USA trying to use my card at the pump and it asks for my 5 digit zip code. Well guess what i dont have a fucking zip code i have a 6 digit postal code that has letters in it. So i guess i can not use my credit card at the pump in the USA, i walk in and tell the guy i want to fill up, he says you cant, you must pick a value. WTF is this shit, Charge my card the $$ on the pump that it shows when i am done.....i am trying to return a rental car that i need to fill, am i supposed to guess how much it is then come back for a refund? The clerk says yup. SO i guess pay with cash fill up and have to go back in to get my extra $1.

Sometimes when i visit the usa it feels like a 3rd world country.

Eh, most anywhere I've been will let you pay for gas inside with a card and you don't need a zip code. The US is behind on the chip thing in cards but its creeping in now.

I'm 99% sure the gas-pump zip code shit is the billing zip code for the credit card you're using. I have two cards with two different zips, and they only accept their billing zips (despite me living in a different zip than one of them, it's a PO box).

The cheap-ass toilet paper they buy at work just got cheaper. Now it doesn't even have cuts to help tear it into pieces. You just have to make an ugly-ass rip.

And speaking of toiletries at work, some of the toilets have regular gel based soap to use when you wash your hands, but other toilets have some god forsaken foam crap. God I hate that foam shit.

Just don't rip it off. Pull out what you need, use it, then leave it hanging there. They'll figure it out.

Waiting at the dealer and seeing my car not even moved for 30 minutes after I got there. What the fuck is the point of an appointment if you aren't ever ready for me when I get there on time.

The animated gif thread loads like dogshit.

gifs load like dogshit in general on this site, don't seem to have issues with them elsewhere on the internets.

Installing $20 trunk shocks on my hatchback only to have the bar I used to hold the lid up come loose and drop the lid down while one of the shocks was half out. The old shocks were dead so the thing came down full force. I moved my hands to prevent broken fingers but the shock that was still half installed wedged between my car and the hatch resulting in a shattered back window. My $20 turned into $300.....

I know this is pretty much my fault but I'm seriously rustled over having to dump money into my 9 year old daily driver.

Yep, USA is in the fucking dark ages with Credit Card security (and internet infrastructure, but I digress). I have my ghetto American swipe cards and usually when I travel, they can just do the old fashioned swipe despite looking at me funny while I explain the situation. This trip to London this summer was the first I have started encountering stores outright refusing to use a non-chip&pin credit card. Jimmies also rustled.
