Man, talk about a cool fucking job. Not sure what kind of living he made doing it, but that'd just be fun as hell.

I would say his son has more fame than he had at this point.

I recognize Wings Hauser but would have had no clue what he played in.

Dude Wings Hauser was great. He played horrible pieces of shit in 80s/90s movies.

Check out Vice Squad sometime. He plays a pimp named Ramrod in it. It’s got that great gritty 70s/early 80s feel you don’t get anymore.

News made the rounds pretty quick here. He lived about an hour and a half away in Marshall, TX.

I had one of the small grills for inside use. It was decent. Sad for all the little Georges.

Yeah no idea where he ranks as a boxer but he certainly cornered the indoor electric grill market.

He's as good of an appliance salesmen as Jordan was at selling shoes.

He probably doesn't. Foreman's career was not very impressive considering how well known his name is. Beating Frazier was a pretty big deal at the time but he only defended the title twice before losing it to Ali and then his career completely fell apart. What makes Foreman a legend of the sport was winning the heavyweight title a second time at the ripe old age of 45.

Based on the medical examiner investigation, they think Hackman's wife died first from hantavirus (that's scary unto itself) and then he died some time later. If he had advanced alzheimers like this said, I could see him being incapable of caring for himself and not taking his medications.

Interesting. I had no idea.

Weird to think that in probably about a decade, there will be pretty much no combat vets left from WW2

Last Battle of Briton pilot

When my father died back in December, and I went back to Philly for his funeral, my Aunt gave me my grandpop's dog tags from WW2.

I didn't know they had a different shape than modern day dog tags, but sure enough...

Depends on how big we cast a net. George Foreman is without a doubt a top 10 heavyweight boxer all time. That is not nothing, but Heavyweight is also not that deep of a division at the top levels. Hes probably 6th or 7th best ever at HW, and arguably squeaks in top 50 all time, more likely somewhere between 50-75 when you add in all weight classes.

Hes the biggest workdwidd star in boxing besides Ali Tyson Pacqiao and Mayweather I would say. A lot from his grill and a lot of that is he tried to transition to being a celebrity like OJ.

how is he only 76 I remember him being ancient when I was a kid and I’m 41.

I read somewhere, a long time ago, that George made $1 on every Foreman grill that was sold. That was the agreement he made with whatever company (I don't remember who) when he sold the rights. Don't know if it's true or not. I hope so. He seemed like a good guy to me.

He's also notable because people were scared of him back in the day kind of like they were of Tyson. Guy hit like a Mack truck.

Dude had gigantic fists. Look at the above picture. You didn't want any age Foreman coming after you.

Vice squad is a great movie and Ram Rod was a great villain.
