The entire game is themed to be goofy as hell. The tier sets fit right in with the overall aesthetic, for better or worse.

The last medic one looks awesome except for the one sided huge shoulder pads. The first ones were hilarious, those helms. Like some weird robot.
The spell slinger is fucking hilarious. Like a cowboy mixed with some S&M.
They are really going for the robot with big shoulders look. It fits in with their world though, so I give them that, but man its funny to look at .

Remember you can costume over all this stuff. Not sure why you would choose a class solely based on one tier of raid armor.
Really look nothing alike except both happen to have purple and orange.
Color isn't a big deal when you can dye everything.
Playing one now. The bots getting stuck on elevators and behind rocks so they "can't see" is a problem. Dismissing them and resummoning doesn't work because the skill on the bar doesn't change out (to 'summon' instead of 'attack').
The only way I've seen to fix it after your pets get stuck is to relog. It's the one thing that's making me reconsider it at launch. Sure they'll probably work out the pathing issues down the line, but there might be a lot of pain before then.
I do like the class though.
edit: Why do they make us fight over gathering materials? Is this 2004 all over again? You see a node on your minimap, run over there to get it and some other guy is vacuuming it up. I don't mind that they copied WoW but damn.. do they have to take the shitty stuff too?

Right. There was a period of time during this past winter beta where you gained a piece of a costume each week, it looked ok from the few pieces I got.

To be fair, none of their costumes really struck me as memorable. They only had a few basic types. The highwayman set looked nice on some models. On other models it just looked... well, it looked like it had been designed for/on one specific model per faction and then just rescaled. Very copypasta.
I've got a feeling they're gonna be really scumfucky about costume sets, and I've got a feeling that they held a lot of them back. Introducing the "mystery box" does not bode well for their f2p model.

Let's see. Fuck cash shops, costume tabs, free to play, instant travel, any other aspect of MMO's that take the grand reward and "multiplayer" aspect out of the actual game. There are no such things as MMO's anymore. Only single player RPG's with multiplayer aspects!!!
