Said fuck it and preordered from GMG. I have been on the fence with this one for a while with it being summer and all, but I think I will get my moneys worth out of it. I skipped ESO but have been eyeballing this for a while. Definitely won't be raiding hardcore or anything, and tbh the hardcore 3 hour dungeon runs etc are kindof a turnoff for me when I heard all about that, just because I cannot commit that much of a chunk of time to gaming anymore. I just hope they still have fun shit for the non poopsockers.
I will be rolling a Human Exile Stalker on PVP server somewhere I am sure. I'd rather play with the weirdo furries that RP off in corners than the loudmouth 12 year old elitists who love to brag all day long. Hope they can do with this game what they say they want to but I don't hold my breath anymore. One plus is I logged in to beta tonight and am rocking about a solid 50+fps in town. Engine is getting pretty darn smooth. Now they just need that Tera mod where you can mouselook, but with actual L and R mouseclick able to bind to attacks. Apparently they can't do that in the current mod? I haven't tried it.

I was watching someones stream ,and they brought up some site that calculated what everyone is playing, and on what side.
Exile was ridiculously in the lead on that chart. I feel it's going to be like WOW where everyone plays that dominant side even tho the lore has both sides doing shitty stuff.

Before WoW launched, everyone thought Horde would be the most popular. Who'd want to play boring Alliance?
Whoever was trying to compare me to Utnayan can feel somewhat vindicated, since I just bought this game for some reason. Between Dota 2 International hype getting me back into that and the World Cup I don't know when I'm even going to play it though
Those people were probably correct for launch. Then players got to level cap, realized Alliance paladins made PVE raids significantly more easier than Horde shamans, so many of the hardcore Horde raiding guilds rerolled over to Alliance.
Now if you were Horde like me on a PVP server, this imbalance had its advantages. This was before battlegroups for PVP were created so all instanced PVP was strictly against players from your own server. If you were Horde, you pretty much insta queued for PVP matches. If you were Alliance, you would often have to wait 30+ minutes for a PVP match.
I haven't been following this game much so no idea if racial bonuses are skewed in favor of one faction like in vanilla WoW but if it is, expect the min-maxers to gravitate to that side.

There are two mods that do just that: one is named Steer, the other I honestly forgot the name, but you can look it up on Curse.
@Rescorla: there is no racial bonus of any kind. Just the looks.
Alliance significantly outnumbered Horde throughout beta. I kept records which I still have of numbers by side and class. Wasn't unusual for some Horde classes to have single figures.
In my experience the only place Horde were expected to outnumber alliance was where folk were rolling on the same server as FoH etc

Yes, but do they let you bind attacks to mouseclicks too now? Last time I checked, you couldnt.

Yep. Half of my online friends are aligning with Exiles, while the rest of us are Dominion... and no one wants to change. Hard factions are the worst.
I'm actually pretty shocked anyone is still doing this in their games. It is the worst for sure.
I always liked the Robot race and the Zombie race, but I never liked the classes they could pick.
