I haven't seen any Tweet or post from a dev stating that invites went out. But, some people just assume they gave full invites to some of the stress testers.

On the reddit leak thread someone posted a message from the developer on being patient waiting for forum access. This was yesterday, so obviously invites went out recently. I just made the logical jump that it had something to do with CBT3. They are most likely all people who were in the stress tests.
I don't frequent Reddit, so hadn't seen that myself. I just clicked the link to the beta forums on Reddit, and saw the post you mentioned.

So, I logged in and 2 mobs in I felt that immediate... bleh feeling. Like I've done this same charade over and over again. I logged out. I don't know, maybe MMO's aren't for me anymore. I just can't bring myself to even try and play. I'll try again later. If this continues I may be inclined to give away my account.
You may be right sir. However, I did and do enjoy the FFXIV betas.Now granted to each their own, but you logged into a MMO for the first time, killed 2 mobs at level 1 and decided you were done? Lol sounds like you are burned out of the genre entirely

Which is odd, because its almost the exact same thing. Zone in, talk to a person with a ! over their head and go do their deed(which most of the time is killing x).
The only real difference is A)style(world, characters, tone etc) and B) Combat(Traditional vs Action).

Maybe I'm weird? I don't know. I really enjoyed FFXI for a number of years. Possibly it runs through my veins.
