Well, what do you have the screensaver set on? Once it sits at the lock screen for a second the display is going to shut off anyway. So it depends on your lock screen timeout vs your screensaver timeout.

For the life of me I can't figure out how to disable the lockscreen password for my Asus T100 convertible. I have followed every guide I can find but it still asks for a password every fucking time.

I have windows 7 and windows 10 on a separate SSD's and can boot to whichever. Since I did that I still get the "option" on the windows 7 boot to upgrade to 10. If I run windows updates you can't select any important or optional upgrades to install without picking the windows 10 update. Not a huge deal but why download it if you don't need to. So I downloaded it and deleted it. Same thing happens, it wants to redownload it and you can't select the optional or important upgrades until you also select upgrade to windows 10.

If anyone is still doing the insider builds, the newest build (10525) that MS just released breaks 64 bit chrome, probably some other stuff. They changed some memory management stuff in it:http://blogs.windows.com/bloggingwin...w-build-10525/
Running chrome with --no-sandbox will keep it working if you don't want to switch to the 32 bit version.

Possibly dumb question:
I have been avoiding upgrading to 10 because I have a 10 GB monthly data cap on my home internet and didn't want it to get raped by MS but a couple days ago I happened to notice that I was 2 days away from my cap resetting and had 5 GB left so I decided to try the upgrade. I assumed that I could just download the file and run it, but instead I used the gay little app they put on my computer where you "reserve" your free copy so now I'm thinking shit, it's going to wait until some random day after my cap resets and screw me for a month". I got home that night and I was down to 1GB on my cap but the app says "Drivers are not available for some component of your system made by Intel" or something like that. Then the next day another gig has been burned up plus I'm about 200 megs in the hole and now the message says "Your PC is set to log in automatically. After upgrade you may have issues logging in."
I'm assuming that it's done downloading now, but my data has reset today so I'm worried that it's going to do something else I have no control over and fuck me. Is there some way to know if it successfully downloaded the upgrade files? This is retarded and I'm wishing I hadn't done it now.
