Not sure what you're saying with that video. It's hard to tell because of shitty shaky cam video, but HairWorks wolves (and griffins, etc.) look fantastic in game. I just wish they had implemented TressFX too instead of totally selling their soul to Nvidia. And a setting that shuts if off for Geralt but turns it on for monsters would have been appreciated too. HairWorks fails miserably at human hair imo.

I installed W1 and W2 and thought I might play them. I know you can use the DS4 for W2, but can you use it for W1 as well? Anyone got any guides/tweaks to get it going?

I cared about Alex from Half Life. I cared about Ellie and Joel from The last of Us. I feel the same about most of the main characters and most of the side quest characters in the Witcher 3. It really draws you in.

Pretty sure the only way to use a controller with Witcher 1 is some half-assed XPadder setup that would probably be really clunky even if you did get it to work. TW1 uses the Aurora engine from NWN1, it just wasn't meant for that.

Yeah, Yrden, Quen, and Igni are the big 3 for a sign build. Axii's charm is buggy so I avoid it for anything other than getting 40xp in dialogues. Aard lets you cheese a LOT of things with the knock down + insta-kill combo, but I don't feel there's any need to spend a single skill point upgrading it. Passive intensity is all you need to keep the enemy down long enough to walk over and kill it. Alt-Aard is broken as shit and makes it so you can't respec without unintentionally cheating.
Edit: Reminder--if you play a sign build, you have to re-equip your mutagens every time you load a savegame or you aren't actually getting the right amount of intensity from them.

I found it infinitely more satisfying to just chop up enemies, it's not even hard if you are a bit patient with your dodging. Seems like they did good job balancing the skills, since somebody was raving on reddit how awesome alchemy is. My issue is that you are at mercy of RNG to give you most recipes, I never got basic Golden Oriole and Raffar for example, Edregas and Arachas were a bit painful.

There are herbalist vendors for potions you may have missed. Slightly north of Oxenford, inside Novigrad, and uhh... somewhere in Skellige. The mainland ones sell normal and enhanced, Skellige one has superior stuff. I know I bought at least one of my Golden Oriole recipes.
Also, Raffar? If you meant Rebis, that's from a quest.
And yeah, melee is fun too. I'm going heavy into the red skills on my PS4 playthrough. Whirl is good times. There's not enough good shit in there to dedicate a full build to it though, so I will be doing a splash of alchemy, and enough sign stuff to get the alternate Quen. Death March is a bitch without being able to use that to heal up.

okay, so decided to switch to PC version after all the checking and it looks 1000x better, it's crazy how much better this looks. I can read the tet, i can see actual details it's amazing!

Good grief. Some of these NPCs have ridiculous gwent decks. That woman in Crow's Perch seems to have an endless supply of close combat multipliers and there's this unnamed blacksmith in Novigrad who pulls 6 hero cards out of his ass in the final round.

Question about the Skellige coronation quest.
Was there a follow up quest regarding the polymorphing bear berserkers? That seemed like such a kick ass storyline that was about to start but then it just sorta concluded. Feel like I missed out on something.

Just where you get evidence and convict the instigator. Should open up after the event happens. They didn't dismiss the charges on my game they torture the culprit.

few questions, in the game it looks like it's a 360 controller, like A or B buttons etc, is there a way to make it have PS4 controller buttons etc?
Also when using your xml, sometimes the swipes work and sometimes the swipes are acting like fast mouse moves, like spinning the camera etc, is there some lock somewhere that locks the swipe pad on?
