yeah crates are based on mission level now. So level 3 lets you get big ones from higher ilvl missions

Have a look at the greens (or blues) anyway. They specifically put a pool with the most used BOEs in transmog, taken straight from their database. The items are actually quite good-looking or very visual.

While it doesn't net a lot of cash. L3 Salvage + Auctioneer has netted me around 15k gold from sub-ilvl 500 green / blue items. Hell, I got a purple ilvl 12 Robes of Insight that sold for 5k.

I keep checking my green transmogs from salvage and they sell for like 30g. I have yet to strike it rich.

My DK rocks blazing wings, that item from the Tavern that makes you naked (the polish?) and I transmorged his axe into that fake sword from Darkmoon Faire. This is how you dungeon and quest my friends.

And I haven't gotten anything crazy from salvage yet... perhaps someday!

As a brief aside since I haven't done much with transmog. But to transmog you need to have the item around in your inventory. Once you transmog is it stored forever or do you need to keep that item around if you want to transmog back into it?

Also WTF is Void Storage and how does it differ from your bank?

Put transmorg crap in Void Storage. Then when you use transmorg, that item in void storage is always available for that purpose. It strips all stats and stuff off of the item though so beware.

Void storage is for stuff you want for transmog looks and won't be actively using. Sticking stuff in there costs money but it has a huge amount of storage and anything in it will show up when you go to transmog your gear so you don't have to have stuff in your active inventory or taking up useful bank space. Basically its my graveyard of cool looking old raid loot that I may want to use for appearances at some point.

On my boosted warrior I went Mining and Herbalism and for the garrison I went blacksmith forge and inscription. Trying to decide if I should drop one or both of the two gathering professions and level up either Blacksmith or Inscription. As it stands right now it seems like the garrison mine and herb garden give me more mats than I could ever use.

Yea Mining/Herb suck these days compared to anything else. Maybe later on Bliz will tweak something and gathering will be worth it again.

My warrior is blacksmithing/engineering and I have not needed to use any resources not provided by my garrison buildings yet so I am not sure how much if any use you would get from mining/herbalism.

The only real reason you would have to keep gathering professions is going on gathering binges to get, not ore or herbs, but primal spirits. Even if you get less than in your garrison nodes, you do get more than just harvesting your garrison (i.e. you get more savage bloods). But I'm not convinced the effort to get one additional savage blood here and there is worth it.

So the card market has all but dried up on my server so I'm considering swapping out the scribe hut. Main professions are enchanting and (currently leveling) herbalism and I already got the enchanting hut and Salvage. Suggestions?

I got a pretty badass blue 2h xmog from the crates and its been dropping a lot of follower stuff still so going to 3 was great advice, thanks bros.

Goto any store called "Botanica" next time you are in Miami and buy some Elegua beads, money & power candles, and some incense. Believe me this will change your luck and make your wildest loot dreams come true.
