So I did the hearthstone pro quest and accidentally assigned the trait to the wrong follower. Wouldn't be a big deal, but it overwrote my jewelcrafting trait which I actually use. Any way to fix it or get another jewelcrafting follower?
Pretty sure you're screwed(with that particular follower) once you overwrite a trait. You can build level 2 Inn and assign a new follower the trait.

I present to you, my double timed-battle counter, dancing and hearthstone pro bodyguard warlock.

Yeah, the bitch is useful in the end.

Quite the gamble you took with one of those two skill books (since bodyguard cannot be replaced).

Haha yeah. Got the dance studio today. One chance out of two to erase hearthstone pro. I told myself worst case scenario, she is already epic, so it's a bit of a loss to send her on big xp missions.

I then got an 8 hours 8k bonus xp mission, that needed two timed-battle and a taunt for three followers. Basically gave me a free powerlevel whatever I want on the third slot hehe.

In the end, I'm rather happy with the counters I got, it's more or less balanced. I'd just need one more massive hit counter. Oh, btw master plan only counts Aeda as one counter for timed-battle in the top bar thingy.

Still got no scavenger though.

Kinda wish there was the option to just make my main garrison the primary one on my account and alts can do something to contribute to a single main castle instead of going through everything with every one of them. It would be kinda neat if my other characters were hanging out in my castle/pinging test dummies, crafting, helping w/ invasions, etc.

Going to end up with a handful of 'least amount of effort possible' setups for alt garrisons instead.

How do you get Hearthstone Pro? Random?
I got a mission for it on one of my alts. Was a no-fail mission that gave the follower item and some Hearthstone card for the toy box. Haven't seen it pop up on the other 4 characters I have running missions.

I got a second hearthstone pro last night, not sure what I want to do with it since I already have two group exp boosts.

I really wish garrisons were account wide and my alts could just set up new shops for their professions.

As it is I have my paladin and druid at 100 both garrisons running full time. My monk is 92 and set up for tailoring and inscription in a level 2 garrison. My hunter is 91 and has his single alchemy hut that he will work until the day he dies.

Why the fuck can't I send garrison resources between characters? I'd to mail my druid 5k resources so he can max out his buildings as well.

This shit needs to be 1 garrison per account.

1 Garrison per account certainly would help the economy, considering you can get free mats on each of your alts.

An important thing to remember about traits: ALL the 645 ilvl missions are either Breaker, Ogre, Plains, or Swamp. In addition, every 630 mission that awards epic loot except for bracers is either one of these or Orc. That means those five traits are at a huge premium and those followers should get gear first.

I've got one character with 7 followers to counter danger zones and only 1 follower to counter minion swarms. Naturally, the 1 is closest to 100. Is this just bad luck with the RNG?

You have got to be fucking kidding me.

Out of 20 followers, I have ONE of those.

ONE.

I'm not even sure what the point of having a garrison is anymore.

Oh yeah, scope enchants for my hunter.

That's it.

All of the pre-made followers you get from quests, achievements, etc have 1 innate ability they always start with, and the rest are randomly rolled. For example, meatball from the brawlers guild will always have recklessness (counters timed battle), and since he always comes as epic, he will have +1 random ability, and +3 random traits.

There's also a follower with each of the profession traits pre-set as well. For example Lantresor in nagrand will always be a miner, etc.

Followers spawned from inn recruitment are completely random, aside from the single skill you determine at creation.

I almost wish I'd never done anything with garrisons at all at this point. Mine are so messed up due to following guides that left out extremely important details like "You won't actually get blood from the barn in any significant quantity" and just plain bad luck now that it would cost literally every gold I have and then some--plus about a week's worth of GR--to fix them. I'm convinced now that all the gold costs associated with the buildings are at least an order of magnitude too high for people who just play the game (as opposed to those batshit insane individuals who think WoW-as-economy-simulator is fun). Correcting mistakes made with building layout is just retardedly overpriced, and there's no gold faucet in the game that remotely needed a sink of that magnitude to offset.

Actually, the game has a huge amount of gold coming in, it's just distributed. The stupid big salvage crates are probably like 40 gold per box just vendoring the greys and greens that come out of them, and you get one of those for every other mission you complete. Every heroic instance completed adds ~650 gold to the economy. :emoji_nose:20 gold per boss * 4 bosses + 50 gold for completion) * 5 people) When you consider that everyone will eventually vendor what dropped at say 30g/item it's closer to 1000g into the economy for every instance completed, and all of this isn't considering money and vendor trash drops from the trash. 665 epics wouldn't be going for 100k if people didn't have it. The garrison prices, 5k follower contracts, and mounts are honestly necessary to sink some of this gold out. Even with it we're still getting massive inflation.

Gold is only a problem if you want epics right now, and you want that on all your alts too. I can still turn over leather refurbishing kits for 2k and darkmoon cards for 3-4k. If you want gold, your profession buildings generate 3500 gold per day - EACH. Even if the barn is only 1 blood per day, that's still 2-3k gold per day just from that building. All of this applies to every alt you have, you should have absolutely no problem finding the gold to run your garrison unless you really need them to be in epics right the fuck now.

It's really hard to sell anything on a server like Stormrage. You put something up, it gets undercut 5 minutes later by half a dozen people. I simply can't count on the AH other than for selling extremely high volume items like herbs, skins, or old-world ore. Blood, crafted items, etc. -- forget it, unless you're willing to turn the AH into a full-time job.

If only there was an option to put an AH in the garrison so that you don't have to travel to Stormshield constantly... oh wait, there is, except it costs either 100 or so hours of your life or a couple hundred thousand of your gold.

The secret to avoiding undercutting is to not resort to it yourself. If the lowest price is 2996 gold, don't put your item up for 2995g99s99c. Put your item up for 2499g. They'll be far less inclined to undercut you, and even if some people do there's a pretty good chance it'll all sell through anyways.

I love that you need to farm pvp kills to get the parts to make 1 component of the trade post AH.

Fuck everything about that. Call me when the parts are selling for less than 100g on the AH.
