You have got to be fucking kidding me.

Out of 20 followers, I have ONE of those.

ONE.

I'm not even sure what the point of having a garrison is anymore.

Oh yeah, scope enchants for my hunter.

That's it.
I have to wonder what the end game is here for Garrisons. Once you are above 645 items and crafted stuff is available everywhere, what good will it be? Everyone will just have Bunker/Glad/TP/Storage and rarely set foot outside of their garrison except to teleport into raid zones.

It's really hard to sell anything on a server like Stormrage. You put something up, it gets undercut 5 minutes later by half a dozen people. I simply can't count on the AH other than for selling extremely high volume items like herbs, skins, or old-world ore. Blood, crafted items, etc. -- forget it, unless you're willing to turn the AH into a full-time job.

If only there was an option to put an AH in the garrison so that you don't have to travel to Stormshield constantly... oh wait, there is, except it costs either 100 or so hours of your life or a couple hundred thousand of your gold.
They need a single AH for all servers. 10 item limit for posting, and disable access to the AH via addons or anything else.

The 645 missions always award raid loot one tier higher than you've actually completed yourself, or tons of gold if you've completed Mythic. So the missions will always be useful, but yeah eventually everyone will have 25 645 epic followers and at that point I don't know what people are going to do with garrisons other than just cycling through the missions constantly in hopes of hitting another epic drop.

They could always unlock more ilevels for the followers or other modifications

The secret to avoiding undercutting is to not resort to it yourself. If the lowest price is 2996 gold, don't put your item up for 2995g99s99c. Put your item up for 2499g. They'll be far less inclined to undercut you, and even if some people do there's a pretty good chance it'll all sell through anyways.
I'm one of those people that avoids buying things from people who undercut by a copper.

Ended up getting Meatball tonight (Nibbleh can suck it as a ret paladin). He rolled danger zones as well as the bonus for missions over 7 hours along with under 7 hours. Figured I would try and use the re-cert on him because I had it. Turned him into a Reckless / Massive Strike / Orcslayer / Humanist. Also got inscription, which I dont use, but at least he rolled into a couple of better talents.

Also failed the Leeroy achievement today, but due to premade groups I should be able to get him eventually.

If anyone hasn't for followers, it is worth it to go collect all of them that you can purely because they could epic upgrade. I went to go get Dagg as alliance and he epic upgraded. Much easier to go from 90 - 100 than it is green to purple.

Subbing in low level followers one at a time for more quests + the 20 follower to 100 achievement seems to be the best plan. Master plan helps with figuring out who you can afford to bench.

Note that getting a follower who is already 100 doesn't count.

20 followers to 100 is account-wide, so if you have alts that's the best way to get it without having to spend 250G to swap dudes in and out.

It will be interesting to see how garrisons progress, but as of now, it just seems like I'm spending gold without a clear objective

Question: I just got the dancer trait item. I know people mentioned it and hearthstone pro replaces an existing trait. If I use it on a follower that hasn't earned their second trait yet, is that still the case? My admiral taylor has only one trait that I don't care about, so I'd be happy to overwrite it now and then maybe get a new one when he levels to epic. Otherwise I might use it on someone else.

For me it's like: Bunker exists to give me a token each week. Lumber exists to give me more resources. Trading post exists so I can convert excess resources into materials I need, and can piss away ones I don't to get more resources. Tailoring/enchanting exist because I can only make hexweave/crystals once a day without it. Herb garden exists to send herbs to my friend to make me potions.

I'll probably ditch my lumber mill for a lunarfall inn soon because some of those quest items are nice. But it's basically a synergy thing. Anyone know if I keep the tailoring reward stuff (followers like phylarc, items, etc) if I replace it with an inn?

I make way more money with missions than I have spent on buildings. Might want to rethink that.

You have to spend 5000G on the rank 3 garrison upgrade alone, so I find that very hard to believe.

One heartstone set to next to the AH in Stormwind, your garrison stone. Set.

(unless you want to travel to the AH more than once every 20mn yet don't want to park there)

Yep. Used the Hearthstone (which I got early, like 24h after unlocking garrison) on an engineer follower (since I'll never build an engineering structure on my main) to replace its profession by the trait, worked perfectly. He's one of my 3 "powerlevelers" guys who get sent on missions to grab XP boni for the lower followers.

Buildings are expensive yeah, but I pulled a 665 BOE from the level 3 salvage yard that sold for 40k, and have gotten 4-6 or so epic gear pieces from follower missions so far. Garrisons are very worth the investment.

This is all wrong -- in this fantasy "the AH is too hard for me" scenario of yours, the selling price of an item is perpetually lower than whatever you list it at? Get the fuck out of here. This is the type of salty QQ bullshit post I'd expect to see on the official forums.

Dude, 5K is chump change. I hadn't played since 2008 and even then I had like 40K. Money isn't hard to come by and playing the auction house game is pretty easy. If you're a marketeer type like Vitality it just increases exponentially. In this expansion the streets are literally flowing with gold. My priest is the only lvl 100 I have and I've made... without question, like 60k this expansion doing fuck all but inscription and taking advantage of the lack of knowledge. Selling 300g treasure maps for 5k a piece was absolute hilarity. It was mentioned a few pages back.
