Hell the top end today requires more effort than vanilla ever did. I mean you can't play it in LFR sized 15-30 minute chunks like some sort of shitty Fortnight game but you also don't need to do 8-10 hour marathon sessions either.

I bet most still wound't be able to do C'thun pre nurf. 40 people all on the same page for that fight is more difficult than you give it credit for now I think.

Raiding is.different now. I wonder how many attempts nurfed threw at cthun. Pieces threw 800 attempts at the final boss of the latest raid over.less than two weeks

People getting WAY too wound up about raiding. That's not what Classic is going to be for. Raids will be there, but they won't be a challenge. They will be a nostalgia trip. The purpose of the game is everything along the way.

Casual guilds won't even get past Twin Emps, but if they do good luck with that post Emps trash.

The challenge isn't the DDR of vanilla, it will be managing people.

The salt over streamers getting in is funny. Of course they did why wouldn't they get priority, it's an advertising gold mine.

Sucks for us plebs but life isn't fair blah blah blah. Stuck with character creation timing out now.

Heh Asmon got in but everyone's characters are stuck and can't move. People phasing in and out like mad. They're supposedly testing out the layering now.

Holy christ that's a lot of attempts. My guild in vanilla banged its head on pre-nerf C'thun for what? A month or 6 weeks? I forget exactly how long it was, but no way did we have that many attempts, and we were pretty close to killing him pre-nerf, I think we got him to like 30% or something before we just ran out of people due to cumulative deaths from crazy strong tentacles or something.

Vanilla you might get in something like 4-8? attempts per night and more on a weekend iirc, just because it took that long to do the fight, run back, buff up, revise any strats, wait around for people to be ready, and go again.

Maybe I'm misremembering that since I know I didn't count attempts, but pre-nerf C'Thun our guild did A LOT and I highly doubt it ever got to 800 total attempts.

That shit seems fun people are getting pissed about the catering to streamers though. I can kind of see the point, the layering shit is interesting I still hope it's only for the first couple of weeks.
