turning in the 3 tokens gave exp and extra rep, otherwise you were locked in exp wise (assuming you didn't do av).

Nah not for beta, honestly I don't really want beta access, as I know I'd be bored and burnt out by the time August rolls around. Just want to dip my feet back in basically, but want some value out my sub fee. If I can basically do the same as I could in Legion while solo, that's good enough.

Just a sub fee will get you everything up to BFA. Some of the scaling changed a little bit with the stat squish so you'll probably have trouble with some WoD content if you're solo vs how easy it was with legion - but other than that you can absolutely do everything else if you just wanted to do something like mount/mog farm, etc

Even old characters I made day 1 on Blackhand.

Yeah, if you're inactive for a super long time they'll release your name back into the wild.

Unless someone else took them you should be able to just rename them the same thing

Yeah just weird they never did it for 15 years. I had a much longer gap between Cataclysm and Legion, with a brief stint in WoD.

I haven't made a new character in ages, gonna blow through leveling hunter & shaman, as I haven't decided which for classic yet. Yeah I know, classes & power level aren't even close to classic, but refresher on dungeon/raid layouts, and other basic shit like that is helpful for a spaz like myself.
