I questioned why someone would play 8-16 hours a day, every day, to rush to the end. Has nothing to do with wanting to play in general, which a lot of us do. Whether it's an hour at a time or more; I wouldn't play any more than I can simply because I had beta access.

I don't think classic AV battles would have been possible anyway. The problem is that people know how the BG works and that the Alliance in particular can bypass half the BG and rush around the back of Frostwolf Keep to the final GY and zerg a victory. So even if we got the original AV with Korrak and everything else, it's unlikely you'd ever get the epic battles we had at release simply because of player knowledge.
