So for the few of you who are in the WoW Classic beta, I know many people are all no changes but does the in game calendar work in classic? Or did they remove it to function back the original way? It was a pretty convenient method of inviting people for raids as well as setting up times for people to sign up on.

Walking up the hill and going through the gates to IF was one of the most memorable experiences I've had in gaming. I had been making my way from Darnassus through Wetlands et al just following a rough guide I found somewhere, and had no idea what to expect. I was impressed by the Loch Modan statues as it was, but those gates blew my mind, and walking into the promenade area to find a big city like that was amazing. It felt like all those fantasy scenes I had imagined through D&D and books had come to life.

I miss those days.

Thanks for the info on Hunters. I loved the Vanilla/BC hunter and all the nuances, thoguh I do understand why they took most of them out in the end. It felt like you had a real companion you had to take care off and not just a cute stat stick.

Walking up the hill to Ironforge felt the same as coming across the bridges in the Karanas for me. Gaming moments you just never forget.

Mine will always be the level 10 trek from Qeynos to Freeport on my monk. The first character I had in EQ. It was just so perilous and you were terrified at being killed and losing your shit because you didn't know where you were at all.

During that journey I found what I thought was a cool farmhouse only to be attacked by bandits and saved by a level 20 ranger who just happened to be there before I died. I was chased by a cyclops who aggroed me from a million miles away. Made it up to Highhold Pass and avoided dying to the gnolls and the orcs somehow. Ignorantly ran through Kithicor during the day before I even knew it was a deathtrap at night and finally made it to freeport and got bound. Also discovered the people trading in the tunnel. Everyone remembers that trip!

Didn’t play much WoW but was a yuge Warcraft guy and I remember seeing that roaming abomination and thinking it was awesome.

In WC3 aboms were big and scary and seeing that as a noob in beta was cool.

EQ I have to echo that any of those runs around level 12 were epic.

It’s someone on reddit “repurposing” unused landmass from classic. He’s done a few of them. It would be awesome if they did it.

I keep thinking about post-content after naxx is out and what they're going to do. I still feel like expanding into TBC and wotlk would be a mistake instead of branching off into its own game. I just personally don't feel like going down the expansion route is worth it because where do you end it? WOTLK introduced LFG and phasing (granted it was limited phasing with quest areas, etc). Sure it had the most memorable raids and whatnot cause Arthas OP but WOTLK introduced everything that eventually lead wow to what it is now.

I unironically want a 1.13 and I want them to introduce tier sets for stupid ass specs, like arcane mage or spriest, etc
