Well let's assume Classic last for 1.5/2 years of time. Even if they went TBC and Wrath after that's about 5-6 years of Cash Cow Milking they can do. Without needing to add anything new at all just open up some new servers and gate them over a 1-2 year period each. If by 2025 they haven't come out with WoW2 or a meaningful reason to play the retail version they should just close shop.

If classic has 3x as many users as retail I could see them making retail more in line with classic (much harder)

The cancer that has been infesting retail WoW cannot be fully excised anymore. It has grown too deep into the game over the years. Even if they added content like vanilla WoW into level 130 or whatever the fuck the cap would be, all the damage done by their various sweeping changes in the last expansions would need to be reversed.

Another issue plaguing retail WoW is the insane amount of dead content in the game now.

I don't think they're going to do anything. I just want them to do it.

Personally I want them to make the current game the best the game has ever been and never release classic, but that won't happen either.

One can dream.

Vanilla WoW doesn't need more levelling content. I skipped Searing Gorge on Northdale, barely touched Winterspring. I then had to go back to Searing Gorge for Thorium Brotherhood rep and barely got any rep from the quests because I had outlevelled it.

Here we go again with private server genius brains.

Unless you are grinding you ain't skipping zones in Vanilla. There were several dry spots although they did add a few more quest hubs like Reventusk Village in Hinterlands.

In 1.12 you absolutely can. Early in vanilla you could not but they did add additional hubs and tweaked some other values throughout vanilla. It’s not as extreme as the 2.3 revamp but it is a lot different than most vanilla players experienced since we leveled way earlier than 1.12.

Leveling in 1.0 was fucking brutal after 40 because there was nothing for handfuls of levels. I ground out 40-43 on pirates or some such, then 49-51 on random beasts somewhere.

I’m definitely running a quest helper mod of some kind now that they have complete databases. I don’t want to repeat my past mistakes.

If classic has 3x more users than retail then they just pulled a fast one on everyone making millions of dollars not releasing anything new. If anything it will help fund whatever is post bfa

They should just completely wipe stuff, keep your characters, but reset and start a new. I mean that's essentially what happens with every expansion release and gear obsolescence

So I guess AV is going on in the WoW classic this weekend and one of the biggest things you notice is how quickly classes go Out of Mana which is part of what makes the PvP way less gay because it doesn't turn in 2 hour cum guzzling pillar humping fuck fests.

I also don't ever get people complaining about pillar humping, LOS has been a part of pvp since forever, also part of PVE too as you can actually fuck caster mobs that way

Truth. I was playing a hunter in there briefly and was re-introduced to Viper Sting, which drains mana big time. You bet I was dotting everyone with it.

I honestly wouldn't shock me if Ion thinks the problem with the game is the number of levels. They have shown to have their own smug heads shoved so far up their own asses that it is a real probability.
