What I plan on doing is questing, but potentially when I get to each dungeon, running it multiple times in a row if the group wants to do that. Then go back to questing. I like the idea of keeping my gear up to date to make questing easier.

If this guy was just some dude who was doing Joana's for his first time I wouldn't have bothered listing his times. I guess I should have clarified. I follow Joana and him on Twitch and paid close attention to both. I actually found out about the second one because he was linked in a Reddit post for beating Joana's time to 30 on the beta a month or so back. He has his fully autistic WoW speed leveler badge, trust me.

I know that comparing EQ and WoW is lame but on the different Everquest progression servers over the years we saw a bunch of different techniques/exploits/optimizations be employed that were not even remotely common knowledge back in their era. WoW is obviously cleaner with a larger playerbase (plus private server community) making any forbidden techniques unlikely to still exist but I'm open to the possibility that there is still some real nonsense hiding about.

Not likely though for sure.

I could see an entire speedrun guild, but it would have to be highly organized and poopsocky.

33 hours and 44 minutes to get to level 40 on the Classic beta. He's doing a new speedrun now to 45 I believe. For anyone who wants a video guide for a smooth leveling path.
I think I remembered it wrong, and the time he beat was Joana's most recent time to 40 during the beta.

My part in the discussion was the possibility of reaching level 60 within a week as leveling time is an important aspect of the discussion that can't really be separated from it. I've no doubt a couple of these guilds will have a full raid of 60s by the end of the first week. APES for instance, guilds who are thirsty for world first and guilds that have slave driver guild leaders (60 by this day, or you're out!). It will probably be tight for most of these guilds, but surely doable by the end of the week if they seriously poopsock it. Attunement to MC is simple if I remember correctly, and if they level with a few dungeons they should have at least some decent pre-raid gear. So the important question might be whether or not they can get the needed fire resist, and consumables before the week is up. Also how different are the actual boss encounters that they've memorized on their private servers from the live versions? They could be seriously underestimating the difficulty, or it might be the other way around. Time will tell, but I'd say some of them have a fair shot at it.

I didn't realize that so many streamers have chosen to consolidate on Faerlina. That'll put them, their sycophants and their haters all in the same location while everyone else is free to pick daisies and frolic in the woods.

The stream sniping should be top tier.

I am happy to see them adding additional servers now rather than at launch or soon after. It demonstrates they're paying attention rather than just counting their money pile.

Nice, thanks for the information. I'm allergic to Twitter, so I generally avoid it at all costs. I'm curious to see how many people migrate there, and if any other servers will be added before launch. Seems like they really did underestimate the demand for Classic.
