This macro seems to work pretty well with getting people to not turtle:

/bg If anyone would like to join me, I will be going the back way to cap Aid Station GY. If we can get 4-5 it should be an easy cap. Can even take the bunkers too.

The only reason I'm not dragging my window to 2nd monitor and do something fun is because the 2nd one is 16:9 and my main is 21:9 and I'm pretty sure doing this would destroy my UI.

Use ELVUI and create a profile for each aspect ratio

People in capital cities especially have been unable to see each other until joining groups. There's no way servers are over crowded currently so it's probably just a temporary bug.
