PVP will be a lot of added stressors for people getting to raids / dungeons and gathering world buffs. Amongst other things.

I personally think it makes the world feel more alive with the danger.

If you guys are wanting to go pvp we should figure it out soon. Is anyone opposed to going pvp? Szeth Szeth etc?

I just saw the news about this a couple days ago. I'm bored enough atm to give Classic another go on the PvE server.

I started with hunter back in 2019. Will probably go mage this time around.

I just have never understood the appeal of PvP servers. Battlegrounds exist and are way more engaging than open world gank fests or 300 person roaming hordes of idiots.

Maybe I'm just not a teenager anymore either.

Probably horde PvE for me? Who wants to make the guild lol

Most of us are going alliance PVE at the moment

Launch WoW PvP servers were probably the best PvP experience of any modern game ever. Because of the way the zones were laid out and the world was structured you could call for help and people were able to show up and actually help, in a matter of minutes.

World PvP in vanilla before BGs (and even for a while after) was awesome.

I agree. After BGs I can see not caring for pvp server, just do a BG when you want. Pre BGs they were a blast. Walking into STV during those intial stages was like vietnam. As that was basically where you first encountered real open word pvp. Turning in and getting quest from nesingwary was its own BG.

That magic is gone now, because its all about Min/Max meta racing to cap, then just going back and killing the slower levelers that are no threat to you.

I get the appeal of hopping in to the grinder with huge numbers of people playing but then you can't hop back out when you're just trying to pick some flowers.

I enjoyed fights over resources. In 2019 classic Jasker and I had quite a few good battles in winterfall village. I'd fight with 1-2 alliance for a few hours until they started calling in backup. And then I would call in backup and we'd fight it out until we got bored. It's the 15 morons with sapper charges at the Naxx zone in waiting to take out world buffs that didn't make sense to me.

That's mostly what I'm worried about Szeth with pve. Never being able to resource contest.

And with chronoboons being in the only real threat from the buff perspective is the buff you're currently trying to get. Getting to a safe spot and booning or dying before you can reboon.

Boons are 10g each. So the safer you get collecting buffs, the pricier it gets.

For Season of Discovery they were changed to 10s. For classic they're still 10g. Unless they stated the reduced price is in for anniversary I would count on being the same price as it was in the past, not from reagent vendors, in that western plague lands location.

I just realized I'm gonna have to do some homework on the addons I'll need. Ain't looking forward to that shit again.

I remember WoW Up being a huge lifesaver for it. I just can't remember all the ones I had before.
