AV these days is just run to an enemy tower, afk, pull the boss before they do. No actual PvP involved which is a shame because I love those skirmishes. The long version of AV with the summonable bosses were amazing back in the day.

Original AV was the worst "pvp" of any incarnation of any wow battleground.

Making a small team and holding the enemy from killing your captain and going back to retake towers is the best pvp wow has ever had to offer.

Unfortunately the system incentivizes the very behavior that it punishes for. But that’s usually the case with retarded socialist designs that don’t reward individual effort, whether it’s in real life or videogames.

I preferred grouping up with a couple rogues as a fury war and murdering stragglers in the field of strife.
