Sounds like paladins the whole existence of wow. I'm not speaking for competitive pvp but try to kill one of those assholes in a BG.

I played a paladin as a main prior to wrath so yeah. I've been that asshole. I remember playing prot with old holy shield and laughing at rogues.

Resubbed today because I picked up MoP for $20 last week. I assume this will only hold my attention for 1-3 months, and his I do not want to drop a bunch cash on character transfers. So I will be leveling my 50 monk or consider starting a DK. I mostly want to tank and pvp, any advice on which class would be a better experience? And yes I plan on using LFR, and if I am greased enough and still playing when 5.4 hits I will looks to join up with Sutkeh.

Dks are sex. You've gotta be good on higher end stuff but blood is an amazing spec now. Unholy does well as does frost.

I think rets might be melee pvp kings right now and tank well too. Know nothing about monks.

1-3 months might be stretching it. You can easily max out before the month is over

Make sure to consider a good server, if you do transfer. I quit back in February but before I did, I moved my characters to Stormrage (super active server) and now that I've resubbed, I regret it. I sit in queue for an hour or more nightly trying to get on (unless I login at 5CST). I was hoping to be able to move my characters to a lesser populated server for free but the option isn't available.

Yeah.. super high pop servers are terrible. I tried playing on Tichondrius for awhile but it was awful, huge server queues every day, the economy is absolutely FUBAR as well

It's pretty fun these days, a lot of the shitty/tedium was filtered out in the 5.x patches compared to 5.0 launch.

I am on Kil'Jaeden. When I was referring to transfers I meant faction transfers. Back in Cata I paid a stupid amount of money to do server and faction changes on a couple of toons to play with friends. So now my old main and alts are alliance and I miss horde hence the leveling of new toons on that server, because now my friends are horde.

If I really get into this game I might pay for the transfer but I think 1-3 month window does not justify the cost. As some one else said i was being generous with the saying 3 months. We shall see what the future holds.

The server queues for Stormrage are brutal. If you're not on by 630CST, you won't be getting on before 8. Last night I was in queue for almost 1.5 hours...1300th in queue when I tried to sign back in. The upside is obvious with tons of players and guilds but the downside...is crushing.

Right. To give you a feel, I started 3 weeks ago and made a panda mage from scratch. I went from 1-90 and I am in full Raid Finder gear minus shoulders (just heroic), jewelry and trinkets (also all heroic). And I did not play heavily. item level 484.

I think its well worth a month of play and you could stretch it to 2 months really. Beyond that good luck to you and just enjoy it not matter what.

I think WoW is great for what it is. Sub up for the expansions and have some fun for a month or two.
