I'll also jump on the blood DK bandwagon. Been playing a blood since Ulduar was fresh and can't ever go back. It took me a while to not sit and sigh at playing my swtor warrior after having the ejaculatory ecstasy that is playing blood.

I've done some soloing of old stuff and being able to solo h marrowgar 10 was my first taste and its awesome. I know not the pinnacle of old world soloing but it impressed my shammy buddy. Right now wow is just tickling the right spots for me.

I think my alt will again be an affliction lock. It just depends. I'm not an alt person. If I run out of stuff to do on a main, I usually grab another game.

I gave up on my paladin. I love the flash of their spells but holy power just isn't fun to me. A shame as I loved paladins through wrath. He was my grizzled old main that I still leveled out of loyalty. Now he just sits there watching my DK have all the fun. Sorta like testicles when she won't play with them.

So I just came back and I'm playing very casual maybe 1 hour a night. DPS isn't cutting it for LFD ques, with the recent MoP changes what tank or healer is the most fun to play?
healers have the fastest LFR queues, which imo you should focus on. A dozen or so dungeon runs and you will have the ilevel gear to queue for LFR, after which dungeons are kinda pointless. You can skip dungeons completely by PVPing too, which is bizarre but whatever.

All the healers are good for dungeons/LFR, its only at the very top end of heroic raiding where there is a definitive healing bias: disc priest > paladins > monks=shamans > druids. But again, for casual play all the healers and all the tanks are pretty much the same.

tanks have instaQs for dungeons, 5-15 min queues for LFR. Healers have 1-2 min queues for dungeons, 1-2 min queues for LFR.

However, tanks are the best for soloing old raid content, which is fun especially with achieves, pets, rep, transmog gear, etc. Blood DKs are far and above the best for this, since they have huge self heal capabilities. So yeah, if you are playing super casual and only want to do one char I'd say blood DK is a great choice, followed by warrior (great at PVP right now) or paladin. Monks are kinda mediocore at everything, which means they will probably get buffed in 5.2 or 5.3.

dont forget to check outhttp://openraid.ustoo, its great for going back and checking out all the old raids you missed. I am having a blast running firelands every week, it tends to be pretty well organized and you can even do sha/galleon on dead servers. You can only cross-server raid old raids, not the current tier unfortunately.

Main problem with monk tanks is they have a pretty rough ramp up time (building shuffle + getting enough vengance so chi wave or guard dont suck ass). They are kings at avoiding the TERA style raid attacks, though (love roll).

You want to sit on 85+% mana by using manage gems or scorch to fish for AM procs whenever you dip low. Don't cast AM under 6 stacks unless you have two charges up. Use rune of power unless the fight has both constant damage + gay movement, in which case use incanter's ward. Invocation is not an option despite Ghostcrawler actually posting that Invocation is "Great" for arcane and the other two are inferior. /boggle

When cooldowns are up, get to 6 stacks + 2 am procs and use arcane power + alter time. cast both missiles, barrage, trigger your alter time, AM again.

Everything is pretty much covered by icy veins.

Oh, if there are 3+ targets then barrage at a 6 stack.

That's part of why 2-tank fights are nice for Monk. You start wailing away as "DPS" (Still annoyed that they made stance swaps drop Shuffle so you can't power it up via bonus chi) building up your Shuffle stacks, or on the one-dog side where defensive cooldowns/buffers don't matter as much, gives you time to build up a large enough shuffle stack to be able to guard/chi wave on cooldown once the taunt swaps start.

As far as secondary stats I want mastery > haste > crit right? I was told by someone the other day that haste + rune of power was better than stacking mastery.

What about the t2 talent? Is frost bomb always the best choice?

I was just stuck in a guild full of fucking trolls that were too cool to help on trash or listen to raid instruction or shut the fuck up during fights so raiding was just miserable and I quit.
Haha when i died on trash i had Zehn on stream and would tab out to see what he was doing in minecraft instead of healing me.

So with limited raids + going out of town all weekend I'd have to run ten fucking dungeons to cap valor because instead of 7xbonus you only get the bonus once a day and they are too fucking obstinate to combine the new method with the old and make it "7x 80 bonus, 40 valor the rest of the time" and instead will constantly repeat "but this way you always get valor no matter how many dungeons you run!" WHY NOT BOTH YOU RETARD.

mastery = haste as long as you have 3056 haste basically. Buy whatever gems are cheaper.

Frost bomb is only the best with 5+ targets. nether tempest 1-2, living bomb + fire blast glyph to spread it 2-5.

The difference in DPS between reforging/stacking haste or instead mastery is pretty trivial, like a few hundred DPS. Haste is nice in that you can move around a bit more, but you have to scorch a little more often to keep 85%+ mana. Mastery is nice in that all your casts hit harder, but take longer obviously. I've tried em both out against dummies and in LFR and its really not a huge difference. You can also mix armors around, I didn't try a haste build with frost armor but used mage armor both times. For single target arcane I have to admit is pretty good, putting up numbers now after some practice that were bigger than pre-nerf fire against all the 1-boss fights. On multiboss (stone guard, first boss in TOES) it sucks though, I miss big combustion spreading

The 1x per day thing is pretty obvious, they know that once people only login for 2-3x a week its a fast transition to not logging in at all and then cancelling sub. If you login 4-7x a week you are more likely to keep paying. Sucks, but I have taken to doing the daily scenario to help cap valor faster, a nice little thing is to queue for dungeon (as dps its 5-10 mins), then take an instaQ scenario, by the time you are out your dungeon queue is ready so within 30 mins you have just earned 130 valor. Can mix in a battleground in there too. It must really suck for people who like to gear alts though.

"The Thunder King is also tied to the Zandalari trolls, as players learn in Kun-Lai quests such as Stealing Their Thunder King. The Mogu and Zandalari were old allies, and the Zandalari are looking to make their new home on Pandaria, so maybe we'll be getting some new troll developments too!"

Apparently trolls are the most abundant race in all of Azeroth.

there's 6 LFR raids x 90 = 540 plus 16x40=640 normal/raid heroics...you dont have to do a single dungeon run at all to cap valor. You also gain valor from scenarios, challenge modes, etc. It's pretty easy to cap valor in 1-2 days.

Humans (& Forsaken + Worgen), Dwarves, Gnomes, Troggs, Vrykul, and Grummles are all errant Titan-built robots cursed by Old Gods. Night elves, high/blood elves, satyr and harpies are all mutant trolls. Goblins may or may not be mutant trolls as well.

There will probably be some Mogu stuff too since he actually was Mogu.
