It's not the same mount. The previous 5 mill gold one doesn't have the same features as the 90 bucks one, afaik you can't buy the 90 bucks on for gold.

You could indirectly, buy wow tokens for gold. Lots did that if you were early, but it quickly doubled/tripled the token price so it was a short term 'affordable' option.

Can you reclaim wow tokens for real dollars in the blizzard shop?

For Battle.net Balance yes. Thats how I got mine. Someone had to buy the token initially so its all the same to Blizzard in the end, but I know a lot of players that bought that thing via gold.

Mid season patch looks beast for easy catchup.

This was a hold out till .5 type of season to begin with based on how poorly reviewed the raid is. The raid was rated the worst raid in recent WoW history.

I said just put the fucking catchup in my hands if you expect me to tolerate a phoned in season. And they are doing just that. Could be enough to get me back for a stint.

I am probably out until Legion Remix goes in. MOP remix was all kinds of crazy fun.

It's thematically different but the whole thing is stale as fuck at this point. They don't really do anything new content wise. Even delves are just underground scenarios.

In general, the raid seems both bland and mercenary. That said, I am struggling to come up with a .1 raid people loved - maybe Ulduar? That was a loooooong time ago.

There's not a lot that's mechanically new or interesting, and reusing the zone we've been doing dailies / questlines in for half the fights feels cheap. At least the Gallagio is visually novel once you get there.

But as a completionist, limiting the raid rep to 1 level per week is what annoys me the most. Blizzard is going to get their 5 months of subs and you are going to burn your hours there, even if you were bored of it after week three, goddammit.

Honestly, that subscription stretch rears its head outside the raid too. Limiting the four cartels (Darkfuse doesn't count) to, what, 6k rep a week, limiting your account to one cartel a week, and having paragon bag rewards is a level of sub-stretching we haven't seen since Shadowlands Covenants.

7.1 had Nighthold and 6.1 had blackrock foundry - two of the best raids.

For the new raid - yeah I've played a bit of Undermine and it's a bit meh. Biggest W I've seen is them putting in a universal mechanics visual thing (X is soak, Y is frontal etc)

.1 raids were different back then compared to now. .1 now were .2 raids back then.

I didnt play LoU but I saw the bosses plenty. Nerub-ar blows LoU out of the fucking water in terms of mechanics and interesting shit. But it could very well be my bias towards just not enjoying the aesthetic / theme of the Goblins and all that shit. Never mind that I absolutely hate some of the Mythic+ dungeons they chose this season. If anything, I agree - its all lazy as fuck.

Couldn't agree more, they've made Undermine extremely tedious and boring to grind/farm. I've never been a huge fan of goblin themes but Undermine as a zone has been in the pipes for so many years it was at least interesting to see it finally, but fuck me it's just one huge grind of literally digging trash heaps if you want to level Darkfuse rep, or get the gunk-covered thingies to get the armors, or grind delivery jobs on your car to get the same armors, and it's all random on random on random.

At least it gives me time to catch up on PS5 games I hadn't had time to play without feeling like I'm falling behind, since everything in Undermine is so time-gated or has weekly limits.

I'm not excited at all about the Arathi substories coming in the new patch either, but at least it's new stuff. I'm more excited about potentially Ka'resh in the next big patch, with the reveal of the Void Ethereals having stolen the Dark Heart.

Also, they seem to be putting a LOOOOT more work into Housing than I anticipated, it looks like it's really going to be as potentially creative and fun as some of the best housing systems in MMOs I've seen, and that's not at all what I expected lazy Blizzard to do after all these years. Wait and see.

Housing is probably their ultimate "last stand" when it comes to trying to draw some of their past audience back. So it only makes sense in my mind for them to put a lot of effort into it.

I knew there would be a lot of grind with that zone and since Im in the same boat when it comes to goblin shit, Im just not down for it. I really miss the days of being able to slam my head against content for a couple weeks and be done with any reputation grinds.

They're doubling the rate you get (non-Darkfuse) reps with 11.1.5 - and good thing too, as I think it was going to be five months until I could start working on paragon rewards.

But again, its not the total time investment that sucks (you could probably spend 10 minutes twice a week there and get all the rep for the week), its the subscription padding - you can only sign up for one rep per week, and it's tied to your entire warband, so there are zero options to try and expedite the process in less _subscription_ time.

Edit: Not that there aren't still bullshit RNG farms. If you want the full set of Miscellaneous Mechanica based mounts & pets, you need 113 of them, and they really only come off of rares -mostly the cartel-tied ones that your warband can only trigger one of the four each per week. Given that I have all of 12, after what, five weeks, I consider that a laughable time commitment - the mounts aren't even unique models, they're just reskins.
