Mob exp is decent, that is if a high lvl doesn't hit the mob. Was getting 4kish for some mobs at 66. Rare due to some random 100 flying when its at 10% to "help out"

Yeah if you solo a mob the exp is good - even those little shit imps and dogs that spawn in the main location were netting me about 1800xp rested on my 80ish monk and they took like 2 hits to kill

Well with fewer people participating now and them being more spread out, maybe it will be easier to find mobs to solo. General forums are full of posts from people saying they're going to AFK in protest, lol.

After reading here, I was thinking of afk levelling a horde monk, but after I saw I had to mount up from Undercity to Hillsbrad with a freaking 60% heirloom mount, I said "fuck that".
I have 12 level 100 already and all classes covered, plus a free unused boost to 100. Anyway stupid pointless nerf, but it's Blizzard we're talking about here, no limits to bullshits.

That's what I've been doing since there's now only like 12 people doing invasions lol. Can solo big mobs for 4k+ and barely ever get any help cause everyone is sitting afk on a building jerking off. It's decent grind exp I suppose.

So out of curiosity lets say for example that Fire mage is the go to spec out of the gate so you choose that level up the artifact and the next set of raids come out and arcane is the champ.. How fucked are you? Can you switch fairly easy or are you pretty locked with an artifact?

Not fucked at all. As you level you get more artifact power items that are worth more artifact power. And the costs of artifact points increases a LOT as you get higher so to take a brand new fresh artifact if you are already 110 it won't take you long at all to get it to near parity with your main. You should be able to maintain two weapons on a character at near parity and three with some work. The Artifact power multipliers ramp up a lot over time so it just gets easier to swap as time goes on.

Its kind of annoying because although I didn't want to play monk I was taking the time to level it in case the tanks I have leveled suck bad but this is basically insuring I'm not gonna do that. Why do any invasions at all now? My 100s don't need stupid 700 gear
You won't be screwed at all. Every point you speed in your artifact weapon dramatically increases the cost of the next point you will spend. So if point 1 costs 100 artifact power then point 13 costs 6500 power. What that means is point 14 costs 9000 artifact power. In other word you can forgo puting in that 14th point into artifact A and instead point points 1-13 into artifact B. So if suddenly spec B is better than A, you can switch to 80%+ of A really quickly.

You dont need to do the WoD intro to get the garrison and the rest of WoD started. Get a port from a mage to stormshield and fly over. Otherwise, you can take the super secret "potal" from timeless to Gorgrond.
I'm surprised more people dont know about the timeless portal. There is a cave underwater, near the ship that the rare Stinkbraid (Stinkbraid - NPC - World of Warcraft) spawns on. In that cave are 4 chairs, and a fire. Sit on a chair, poke the fire, and get ported to Gorgrond.
