Blizzard obviously pays attention to any competition out there, but I don't buy that they've EVER timed patches around what other MMOs were doing. Taking for granted that this is 'nothing new' for them would be completely ignoring their past history (none of these are major content patches btw):
GW2 coincided with the MoP pre-release patch.
Aion coincided with the revamp of Ony's Lair.
Star Trek Online and The Matrix Online both coincided with minor bug/balance patches.
The Secret World, SWTOR, Rift, DC Universe Online, Champions Online, Warhammer, Conan, and the original release of FF14 didn't have any WoW patches going on.
If that pile of games didn't sway Blizzard's timing, then the re-release of a pile of shit that had barely 400k subscribers won't either. It'll probably be out around the same time, but only as a coincidence. It's not like they've already completed it and are just waiting for the perfect moment to put it out. Nor would they rush it out ahead of schedule; it'll be out when it's ready.
