I had some guildies boost me when I hit 110 on my brew. Only 845 now but it's such an interesting class to play. I like the idea of of reactively changing your brews based on how you are getting hit. Still got my 890 warrior in any case. Just an interesting class to play.

my BrM is 885 atm, still waiting on a decent legendary (got cinidaria and a healing ring =/) my recommendations for you noodle is if you plan on tanking raids with your Monk start running NL and BRH.
the relics for BrM are fucked, you have 3 options (everything else isn't worth it). the 3 options are worth about 30-40 ilevels so unless you have an 850 and a 890 drops dont even swap.
Hot blooded - best for survivability and if you want to tank raids try to get this in all 3 slots easiest to get Storm drops from Skorpyron, iron drops from Krosus, and the life is from Helya (the hard one) you can also get a Life one from BRH
Potent kick - worst of the 3 choices but helps with brew gen (not an issue if you get the 4pc and a decent amount of haste ~17%) from moroes, ymiron, shivermaw (shivermaw being the hardest to get a decent one)
face Palm - huge dps increase if you are using BoC, life is from BRH, iron from EoA, and storm from HoV
I have 2 hotblooded ones at the moment and trying to farm my third as a facepalm to help with threat generation.
with 20ish% haste i can run an instance and finish it with 2-3 minutes left on ISB, BrM is definitely a really fun class. Tanking a 14-BRH i felt more survivable than my 901 prot warrior, not nearly as spikey and managing brews is pretty interesting.
i dont plan on swapping BrM to my main but i am really enjoying it for something new to do between raids.

I just hit 865 so not in a position to replace my 892 or whatever it is warrior. I've only tanked some 8's and also some LFR (LOL) and so far I really enjoy it. Most of the healer comments (guildies) have set it's actually pretty easy to heal as long as we don't accidentally pull the entire first path in BRH (huntard).
I did get 'lucky' and get the trinket legendary on my 2nd boss in my first mythic. It's not ideal or even BIS, but it's good enough that I didn't get salty over it.
Some things I notice right off the bat with BrM as opposed to warrior. BrM can keep active mitigation up 100% of the time, so it makes AM checks a joke. You really need a healer that at least sort of understands how you take damage, I had at least one over the weekend (pug) that just let me rot and die a few times.
I do plan on pugging EN and TOV but people see an 865 ilvl tank and immediately don't want that so I'll probably just start my own or something this weekend. I did want to bring it to our normal NH run but due to some guild drama i'll probably be holding off.

yea i've noticed the difference a good healer makes when i'm playing BrM than when im playing my warrior unless im doing 15+'s im pretty self sufficient with victory rushes/stuns/healing bracers and 100% AM (warrior) but on the Monk even little hits that normally dont dent me tend to add up so the healer has to stay on their toes. i take less damage overall and its very smooth, a really good healer will let you hover pretty low so you get more gift of the ox healing orbs.
I also have had a few people who decline me for groups that i way overgear assuming because of the BrM stigma, like a normal EN turned me down when they had 1 tank.
the trinket is good i have it on the warrior but never use it except for farm runs, i'd actually prefer the dps version for the warrior due to the stats, i'm currently rocking an Arcanocrystal/890 urn and i swap for infernal contract if the fight needs it, on the monk im using a heroic bloodthirsty instinct (the haste proc is noticeable on brew gen) and either a dark moon card or alchemist stone.
I'm going to get my first runs through Heroic NH tonight, we'll see how it goes with things that actually do decent damage.

I've been doing the LFR thang and so just yesterday got to encounter the Ellisande fight. I actually laughed out loud at the whole dramatic dialogue absurdity of the setup:
All-in-all the whole Suramar Elves business was pretty well done as a large multi-month campaign storyline so I can't complain too much about the semi anticlimax of the ending. It will be nice to move on to the Legion portion of an expansion titled "Legion"

Meh. I don't find the end of her part of the story too objectionable. She wouldn't consider any path where she is dead an appropriate path for her people, right?
Besides, we haven't exactly reached the end of this part of the story yet. I wouldn't even flinch if we see her brought back as an actual Legion demon puppet in 7.2.

I honestly have no idea who did the math, i've seen that information floating around in the Monk discord and if you check out top 50 guilds who are using a monk most are running 2x hotblooded or a combination of hotblooded and facepalm. at 890 ilevel i'm getting over 650k tigerpalms with facepalm/BoC.
I ended up tanking heroic last night (we skipped the first 3 bosses) BrM feels really good on most fights but i felt like it really shined on Krosus (took less damage than a 902 equipped Paladin tank) and Gul'dan, being able to solo soak heroic bonds with just ISB/purify/expel harm. i may be looking at a main swap in the future pending if i get a decent legendary on the monk in the next week or two.
To jump on the druid hate bandwagon, i may have mentioned it before but we have a boomkin who swapped to guardian (35 point weapon) for Mythic Krosus and took 24% less damage (I factored in the self healing to the DH) than a maxed out optimized DH tank. blizzard needs to do something about DH/DK/War tanks in the near future or even more people are going to be jumping ship. I can only speak specifically for a warrior but i've been having people soak Mythic krosus slams (ret paladin/netherwalk DH/iceblock mage) so i'm not one shot in between that and my ticking 1.2 million magic damage dot. I am not playing optimally and there is room for improvement in my play on the fight (i can get another few casts of spell reflect instead of saving it for high stacks) but with Mark of Ursol having 100% uptime its a moot point.
Sco did a video recently on how a Guardian Druid is pretty much the best and possibly only tank for phase 1-2 of Mythic Gul'dan at peoples current gear levels (phase 3 a warrior or monk is probably arguably better due to it being mostly physical), and its just glaringly obvious in that video how much better they are than other tank classes.

So our guild is only heroic, and we run typically 2x Warrior tanks.
Heroic Krosus (I know, not mythic) is one of those fights that truly showcases the shortcomings of warrior. We ran 2x Druid for our normal run and it was just absurd how less squishy they felt. Alkorin used the word "safe" when asked about it.
WIth my monk I've only done LFR but it's such a joke with monk. I told the tank on tichondrius just to dps because the bloods can't leech on stagger. Just took no damage and the adds couldn't regen health the whole fight.
I've not fully decided yet because I feel like with Monk I can definitely step into "oh fuck what did I do" territory if I'm not utilizing brews right or saving 1/2. It's something I'm seriously considering, much to the dismay of the guild I'm sure.
I've heard through the grapevine that Tomb of Sargeras might be another high magic damage raid zone and that will honestly be the nail in the coffin. I know I talked before about how I wasn't enjoying my warrior in NH when I had 3.8M health. Now I'm up around 4.7M and around 892 equipped so it's not like I'm even appropriately geared for heroic, I overgear it a bit.

i'm 902 equipped on my warrior and still die occasionally on heroic krosus. I also can't generally solo soak bonds on Heroic Gul'dan without using last stand/shield wall which puts it out of rotation for when i need it on scythes during higher damage times. even with anger management which hurts my physical mitigation i cant have a CD available for every soak and still survive the scythes/melee.
Monk definitely has some oh shit i'm going to die because i purify'd too soon moments or i have no brews 9 seconds remaining and no BoB and you have to fortify+expel and pray. Pending a good legendary we'll see, if the Tunic drops i'll definitely swap.
Tomb from the datamining is heavy magic damage (which may change since its still ptr), but commentary is that druid is still the best for there in its current state.
the issue is my monk is on a different account (a friend who retired from WoW) and i cant move the monk to my account since he has a different last name than me so i lose out on all the mounts/account achievements/etc which is a bit disappointing.
