What would people suggest for a fresh 90? I'm unemployed after shoulder surgery and powerleveled a warlock. I had a cloak and bracers from the isle and have picked up several more pieces, but I seem to be getting shit luck with drops now.
Is like to get lfr ready, but I'm currently only 463. Are there any cheap/easy ways to bump up my ilevel to queue for raids when they rest Tuesday?

Have you found all the chests on Timeless Isle? You usually get a decent number of armor tokens from them and one gives a guaranteed Burden of Eternity (so that you can create an ilvl 535 item). If not, this guide could be useful:

Not trying to be confusing, but technically you're grouped with everyone who tagged it (you can tell because you get hit by group-only spells and aoe heals). The fact that you're grouped is hidden from you, however. That's why you can trade them with other players.
Apparently there was (maybe still is, I dunno) a window in which you could use your daily tradeskill cooldowns a second time prior to the cooldown reset. Supposedly the window was between 3AM server time and 3AM PST. So if you played on an EST server you would be able to use your daily tradeskill CD again between 12AM-2:59AM PST (the CD resets on all NA servers at 3AM PST).
1 day and a wake up t il I'm zipping around Org in that sweet ass Sky Golem.

That mount is pretty cool, too bad it came in a patch later than it was supposed to, which by then i was mind numbingly bored with the game
and now that i started up again a few days ago, I'm too lazy to level up another miner since i dropped it for something more useful >_>

yeah Timless isle is really all you need. You should be in the 490's very quickly and one run through ToT should get you to where you can queue for SoO. Also, download the mod oQueue and you can get into cross realm Celestial and Nalak groups for an easy extra shot at loot.

No. by miner, i mean miner. I have like 3 engineers, and no miners anymore. I dropped it for something more useful. (tailoring on one, enchanting on 1 and BSing on the other).
Only doing Timeless Isle grinding also leaves you looking like an asshole.. I seen some WW monk the other day in his super cool 496 Timeless Scrub gear, with 2 ilevel 400(ish?) green swords in a SoO LFR. Which made him do a whopping ~30k dps. It's also entirely possible that he was awful at the game.

They upped the drop rate considerably on ToT so it's worth running it before SoO. I had 10 mogu coins saved up on my DK but didn't really need them. After running each wing once I had 2 piece t15, a weapon, a trinket and a few various other upgrades that easily added another 20-30k dps over my timeless + heroic shit gear. If everyone did this SoO LFR dps wouldn't be so utterly miserable and require 3 determination stacks to down each boss.

This is what people SHOULD do, while you're farming your poopy 496 stuff on the Island, you convert the coins to mogu runes, then use coins on bosses in ToT that drop your weapons/trinkets etc

Is anyone here in an active raiding guild or active in the raid scene at all? Just wondering if anyone would be able to get me into a flex raid once I hit 90 and have bare minimum gear. I'll hit 90 soon and start working on Timeless Isle and the cloak quest... but I figured someone might have guild groups that let friends in on occasion.

I'll have to pick up openraid.
I farmed the shit out of timeless isle, picked up all of the chests, and managed to get up to 480 ilevel within 24 hours after hitting 90. Capped out valor and I've run the first 4 LFR instances. Trying to get through as many as possible before the reset. Landed 3 pieces of the Sha-Skin set, so I'm rocking 2 of those for the set bonus, though I really didn't look at how much damage Incinerate is doing.
Still have green quest trinket/ring/belt. Hopefully I'll be able to get rid of those soon. Seems like every goddamn token that I get is plate or mail. Sitting on 9 pieces of mail armor and 6 place pieces. Strangely, the chest that was supposed to always give the burden ended up giving me a trinket instead. I was stoked, until later on today I ended up with two more.

Don't forget that there is still 5.3 valor gear and earlier which you can buy. I think they removed the rep requirement from most vendors for the most part.
