Can't you put it in the crucible and see what it will give you before actually socketing it? Or are you referring to not being sure if you want to loot/roll for it?

the alternative would be having each member of your raid who can use the relic want to hearth out and check every god damn relic that dropped (we already have this issue every time a relic drops with the person who won it).

Daze is one of those mechanics that is insanely outdated to me and not just because it's inconvenient. I mean, daze used to be a deadly thing- you got dazed there was a chance you were going to die if you didn't fight unless you wore heavy armor. Now you get dazed off your mount you literally turn around and 2shot the mob. There's no danger in it, just pure annoyance.

Stag form as mount, literally just keep running as there's no such thing as being dismounted. Dazing just slows me for a second.

Glad I'm not the only one who felt like that. Back in wotlk launch I got dazed on the first hit about 9 to 10 times in a row on my hunter . I was and on some level still quite salty about it.
Weren't all hunters dazed all the time in WotLK from Aspect of Daze?

I'm talking about the poor bastards handing out loot in RCloot.
I don't see why they just don't allow you to see the unlocks of the relic before you put it in the fucking crucible. Would make the system 1000% more tolerable.

If you want to be technical, relics are your weapon drops. As for the story, I would imagine its going to be something as basic as you using your weapon to seal away a void lord or something, which drains your weapon of all its energy. Rendering it useless.
