This does make me question the effectiveness of their red/blue CICD deployment and testing cycles, clearly missing so many things on so many levels. Gives a lot of credence to actual UAT, which prevents a lot of this sort of thing by having an actual testing cycle, vs automated testing, at least when the automated testing isn't very extensive or happening at every level, in a manner that covers each aspect of existing code, and any changes that are made. Clearly they're flying high and loose, I can only hope they'll learn a fuck load from this experience.

Blizzard is already leaps and bounds ahead of the competition when it comes to several aspect of network interconnectivity, and dealing with an actually massive user base.

Getting closer to unlocking the carrier via quest, does the oil Derrick or whatever come after that? I know i saw a vendor once before i had my shipyard with various unlocks but forget where.
The derrick is revered only, but it's the Tanaan faction? It's on the vendor on Tanaan next to the mission table where you can check which sector you want.

(if I remember right)

Levelling is way more cohesive now, that's for sure. I have had a few quests get fucked up and just completely dye out on me. I also finished up the last chapter in Hillsbrad and didn't get the achievement. I think it's because I'm permanently bugged from another quest that disguised me as an alliance. I can walk right up to AV and use the merchants and stuff and I'm green to all the alliance up on the hills there. I'm gonna go hop by Southshore and see if I'm green there.

They tried to warn us that increasing backpack slots would break the game. Now look what you've done!

Well they pulled the game down for the day so they obviously know there are some big issues here. Honestly some of the stuff like the scaling can be fixed over time but the performance loss in raids makes shit unplayable almost. I honestly think they should of waited for the new stat squish to apply this scaling shit, because I am gonna bet now that as soon as they squish shit the whole fucking game will be ultra borked again for a week or so.

I am actually looking forward to the stat squish but I doesn't seem like they are going nearly far enough or learn from their mistakes until they stop the exponential scaling of gear and the stupid large ilvl jumps per tier.

Level scaling and slight buff would've been fine. But they doubled down on the retard

I do want to try it on a new character as a break from the high level stuff, but not until it's wrinkled out

On the topic of slow levelling and gimping yourself. It's fairly selfish to come in and want the game changed for you and your playstyle a d disregard how the game was for all these years. That's a memememe attitude about it.
To be honest I hate the leveling changes. It's stupid, especially considering the age of the game. Nonetheless, I'm amazed you still haven't figured out yet what the intention of the leveling changes was: To get the people to do quests in the world insted of "roll a tank/healer, equip heirlooms and chainqueue dungeons while sitting on your ass in your capital city" being the easiest and fastest way for leveling.

What about content scaling do you find stupid, and what does it have to do with the age of the game?

They wanted to add in new leveling system as well before the "allied races" were added. to get the heritage armor you have to level one from 1-110, you can do race changes or boost them but you dont get the heritage armor unless you level it from the bottom.

I doubt people who are picking up the game for the first time really want to slog through shit for who knows how fucking long just to be able to play with other people. I know if I recommend the game to someone and was like yeah come play this shit with me but first you have to spend 2 weeks slogging though this shit they slowed down because fuck you thats why it wouldn't be a strong selling point.

Wow doesn't matter at all right now until 110. classes don't even play appropriately without all their artifact traits. classes are currently designed around having a maxed out weapon to make the rotations even make sense. im sure there are a few outliers but most classes its a night and day difference from having an artifact wep to not.

I know what the intention was. My problem is it's a 14 year old game. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE POINT

A lot of players enjoy leveling characters and the new allied races are going to be a continual form of content centered around leveling from scratch.

I would think the scaling is actually better for those (very small) few who pick up the game and start from scratch. At least now you get a decently cohesive single player game until you hit 110. If anything, the real shit slog starts at 100 as you'll probably spend as much or more time actually getting caught up on the legion stuff as you will levelling to 100.

This isn't the first time they've nerfed the chain dungeons to max strategy either.

Not sure if its been mentioned, but my personal biggest annoyance is they are actually enforcing the flags for WQs on Argus now - before if an alt hadn't gone through the Argus chain, a WQ wouldn't show up on the map, but if you got in the area it was still doable and LFG enabled. Now they don't trigger whatsoever.

Seriously, that was their biggest priority, making it that my inscription alt has to do the Argus questline through macaree just to get another shot at Skreeg that day?

No one likes going from quest hub to quest hub running shitty quests to fetch 10 bear asses.
