Yeah, I think everyone who follows the lore expects her to make some sort of pact with Azshara/N'Zoth (if she hasn't already). It's been pretty heavily telegraphed.

That was a good video, but at first I thought it was some fan fic due to the extremely un-WoW like artistic style.
I'm wondering if her change of attitude towards Orc Refugees is due to an encounter with an Orc Refugee who had a "sexual emergency". Might explain why she went batshit crazy.

So, I was doing the warlock quest to get the Destro artifact weapon, and at the end, I take a portal back to the Underbelly and get instantly killed by a Horde player. The area I got ported into was "Circle of Wills"... is that some open pvp area in Dalaran?
The whole underbelly is a FFA pvp zone whenever someone bothers to bribe the guards. You can pay money to the captain at the entrance to be immune if you actually have something useful to do down there, although teleporting back would make that problematic I guess.

I listened to the song again and I really do like what Laura Bailey brought to the whole piece. When last we saw Jaina, during Legion, she was just a ranting harpy and the writing for her for BfA adds quite a lot of depth to the character both in terms of her interaction with her people as well as the perspective that her father may have had the right idea about exterminating the invaders from another planet.
The best hope for a full character arc would be for her to turn to the Old Gods for help in this, realize that she was just as bad in inviting agents of the Void in to wreck havok, and pushing past all of that, possibly moving past her role as solely a Frost Mage in the process.
I mean it doesn't take a genius to realize that the 'Battle for Azeroth' will end not with Alliance vs Horde but rather Alliance and Horde battling on-behalf-of Azeroth to prevent her from dying and, in the process, setting up to go against the Void now that the Legion has been removed as a buffer.

Talking about Jainia... how many RTS characters are actually left?
I think the Alliance characters who were in the Warcraft 2 expansion are all still alive. All the other characters from the first two games are dead? Is Garona alive and was she even playable in Warcraft 1?
Then we got Thrall, Jainia, Bronzebeard, Sylvanas and all the Night Elves from Warcraft 3?
Who is going to go mad from THE CORRUPTION next? Alleria, Sylvanas and Jainia? I'm really fucking surprised Maiev made it alive given she was an antagonist in Warcraft 3 (didn't play Legion, is this right?).

maiev is still alive. she played an important, but small role in the beginning of the expac, but hasn't been around since, if i remember correctly. there's clearly something up with sylvanus, they've been hinting pretty hardcore with that for a few years. alleria? i hope they keep her uncorrupted. power corrupts is a pretty stale trope at this point. besides, i like the dynamic between her and turalyon at the moment. turalyon is all about the light, to the point of zealotry, and we've seen that while the light appears to be benevolent, it's clearly got it's own will and gameplan and doesn't ask it's followers what they want. the void on the other hand, has always been talked about as this scary force, but shadow priests have been all good with it for a LONG time.
i'd like jaina to stay away from the old gods. maybe be tempted by them secretly, but as soon as she figures out what's happening, i'd like her to be able to catch herself and change course. she can still be a mental case, but i'm kind of tired of old god corruption being the backbone of expansions.

Yogg'Saron was a big part of WotLK, actually. Ulduar was the major focus, but his influence was everywhere on the continent in lore and quests. Old God voices in Grizzly Hills, mining operations in Icecrown, and others. Its why the major ore that was in Northrend was called "saronite".
Its believed why the Lich King was created and the Source flourished on Northrend in the first place, they were undead and couldn't really be affected by the influence of the Old Gods.

MoP - Sort of? The heart Garrosh ate was the remains of the Old God that, when killed, created the Sha.
EDIT: To be clear, Garrosh did not kill the Old God. The Titans did. It exploded on death and scattered fragments of itself (the various Sha) all over that continent. Which is why the Titans moved to containment after that, as each of the Sha was as hard to keep down permanently as an Old God. The Mogu and later the Pandarens, had access to the Heart of the Sha, which they kept as a treasure. Using the Divine Bell that the Horde helps steal (via Dalaran - Which is when Jaina kicked all of the Horde out of Dalaran in MoP), Garrosh is able to unlock the prison the Heart was kept in and take it.
Hints are given through the expansion that he is being slowly 'tempted' by something in Pandara and it turns out to be the Heart. He eats it in the end, but seems to have control over himself, rather than being controlled by the Sha. So you can say he was led to it by the remains of an Old God, but was not corrupted (even though the Mythic phase has him Old God 'Hulk' Out).

Im sure the presence of all these Void-aligned 'Old Gods' on Azeroth will tie into Azeroth being as important to the Void as she is to the Titans. She'll probably be the illegitmate offspring of the Light and the Void and they'll rehash the whole Nephalim storyline from Diablo in the process.
Then again it might also be quaint to have Azeroth explode at the end of BfA and force the next expansion to start over from scratch
