Pretty much. End quest today is to fly into burning Teldrassil and fail to evacuate everyone and you just peace out to Stormwind. I also like how Tyrande doesn't even attempt to go save anyone in Darnassus, either. Just says fuck it before the takeover and leaves.

The tree burning of teldrassil was a false flag operation by the alliance government, if you look close enough to the NPCs in Telrassil, you'll notice you can find a lot of them in other parts of the world.
Not the first time crisis actors were used to further the PvP agenda.

Well this was stupid. There was a glimmer of hope that there was some sort of larger dynamic in play....but nope. Just cartoonish evil that makes no fucking sense. I mean you just unlocked the ability to go to any of the thousands of worlds in the Twisting Nether now that the Legion is gone and instead you go kill everyone in a tree because you had a flashback to when Arthas bad-touched you?

inb4 we have another Broken Shore scenario where the horde look like assholes for abandoning the alliance in Legion prepatch but after the expansion launches it turns out they had to retreat or they would lose everyone. Only way this can be 'redeemed' (and I use this lightly - they have proven they have no idea how to do morally grey), is that the random elf was a minion of the Void Lords or the Old Gods, who somehow managed to Manchurian Candidate Sylvanas.
