I mean I think the concept is really cool. And the length is justified. However, this was the first time it wasn't class specific. Also, its not like it was a 0.01% chance of having it on your toon. It's not like its hard to get. But it sure as shit is fucking neccessary. On some classes, like druid its more important than anything else.
It's not a bad quest line the first time to do it, but it feels seriously boring and grindy if you want to get the cloak on alts. There should really be some kind of shortcut for alts.

I hope that the Garrison allows for a decent way to mine / gather as the lack of flying mounts would make the gathering professions into a fucking nightmare. I cant imagine having to walk all over the zone fighting off packs of trash just to get to a handful of mining nodes, not to mention the slow travel times between nodes.

While they didn't explicitly put it this way, I'massumingthe garrison is a more robust Sunsong Ranch (and you will therefore be able to harvest stuff like ore/leather/herbs once per day).
2-3 weeks for sigils, 3 weeks for valor, 3-4 weeks for secrets, 4-5 weeks for runestones. In between you get to grind hundreds of mobs on thunder isle to get black prince rep
The worst part of that PvE quest line is the part where you have to PvP to continue. Whoever thought of that should be shot in the head.

Conspiracy theory- They somehow up your drop chance when you've been unsubscribed for awhile. I got 6 drops in my first round of raiding today lol, oh yeah weapon and shield in that group.

Yeah I really think that just time spent logged out contributes to drop chances. My alts seem to get tons of shit meanwhile my main gets gold, gold and more gold.
They need individual boss RNG. If you don't get a drop from the boss your chances of getting one from that one next time are higher until you finally get something then it resets.
