Its now more easy than ever to find a group to do something. But its just not fun to do so.
The original WoW was awful. The trash mobs, the corpse runs, the bugs, the lag. But the fun part was the community you had. If you were an asshole, everyone on the server knew. If you were good at PVP, everyone wanted you in their BG group. If you were funny, everyone wanted to group with you and hang out in your voicechat. There is no loyalty to your guild anymore because a new one is $35 away. No reason to form bonds.
I'm pretty much ready to quit as well.

My ER toons are all still in the same guild I joined back in WOLK. Not many of the old players left, but I am friends with them, and wouldn't leave the guild unless I was quitting the game. If you have 'no reason' to form bonds with people, then you might want to look in the mirror, because that was and always will be on you.

About half way into 19 (should get to 20 over the weekend). Combined with my Champions of Azeroth faction also hitting Revered over the weekend, that will get it to 163 ilvl (thus being the highest piece of gear available).
Not sure why you would consider it a grind item though - it is passively increasingly through doing almost everything available in the game. The requirements for additional levels will also go down on a weekly basis to make unlocking it easier.

Warmode is straight up the best thing to happen to this game for world content. Naturally formed raids to hunt each other is wild, it makes the world feel real lively. Also starting to get to know names on other servers because of it.

I'm enjoying warmode as well. There's something to be said for flipping on warmode and heading into enemy territory to farm or quest.
If you're going to have two factions you may as well make them two separate areas that are dangerous to go into as the enemy. It's the best implementation of the 2 faction system they've ever had in the game.

Last night what started with me having a bounty on my head ended with a group of about 30 alliance coming to kill me and about 40 horde killing them in return just cause I started ganking in WQs.
Then we raided Boralus and killed everybody logging in and trying to do ship missions. It was fucking great.

Mine is only 15, be 16 tonight. Starting next week the AP requirements start to go down every week so I suspect everyone will catch up and be close soon.

I laughed at them when they announced they want to revive world PvP. It's somehow working really great, especially the "steal yo mob" mechanism where you can jump on a group of players fighting some WQ rare mob at 10% hp, wipe them and get the kill while depriving them of it.

I gave myself a deadline, and the majority of it has to do with the fact that Dragon Quest XI releases the day Uldir opens, and that game is going to consume me utterly for about 120 hours.

Slightly ahead of my neck, I'm about 1500 AP short of 19 (will easily hit it tomorrow). Also less than 500 rep away from Revered with Champions of Azeroth (also will easily hit it tomorrow). I could have done some more expedition runs, mythic wins are worth 300 AP, Heroic 225, but have only run the minimum to complete those weeklies. Also haven't done WQ's with War Mode on yet. Might have to start doing it, 10% AP will add up over time. I usually just like WQ to get cranked out as quickly as possible so I can have a clear board and time to chill. Still irritated that my Tortollan rep is going to be the lone hold up to mount speed from Pathfinder. Sitting about 4800/12k.
Sounds like what Grid does, i not used grid in a while since blizzard sorted they own raid frames. I used to love grid but then I got the hump with having to configure it for every new encounter to add all the debuffs was a royal pain in the arse. On the blizzard ones it picks up all debuffs and buffs and will only show dispelable ones by you etc by defualt no import needed. I will try that Vundo one someone mentioned a few posts down

I've had warmode on since the expansion launched and I've only pvped a handful of times since. It just seems like a detriment to not use it

I'm 17 about 66% of the way to 18. I've not turned on WarMode even once so that bonus might easily be the delta between being in the 19+ range and not. They say that Island Expeditions are the best way to get Azerite, but that has not been the case for me. Instead its only worthwhile if every Azerite granting WQ is completed, even dungeon running seems better given the speed with which people are already clearing heroics.
