My man! I'm still waiting for a modern MMO to do anything similar to their update cadence. EQN sounds like they want to do this but God only knows if they can manage. It was nice logging in month to month and seeing shit like actual seasonal changes in the landscape.

I havent played AC because "EQ" but GW2 is doing updates every other week. They are mostly shallow busywork though.

I fired up my old AC account a few months back, played for a month or so. It was nice to run around Dereth again and they are still pushing monthly content and updates after 13 years?

ToT was brutal for drops when it was current. I rolled religiously on teir dropping bosses, Nalak, etc. and didn't even have 2 piece until like a week before 5.4. Now you can buy the mogu runes for 1k timeless coins and I went in there with my alt and 10 coins and got multiple weapons, tier pieces and other shit on the first run through of each dungeon.

Yeah basically it went like this: 85 hunter with dragon soul gear - jade forest > kun lai summit > a little klaxxi and 90. Went to timeless, looted all the chests in a day and got to 480ish ilevel, missing only neck weapon and a second trinket. Granted, a hunter has a super easy time of this with camoflage/feign/pet tank. Used my free 535 token on chest, ran one scenario for the 450 weapon, and then ran all the LFRs through Throne of Thunder in hopes of a weapon and upgrades. Got nothing useful from all those raids (THREE non-set BPs!) except a neck that pushed me into Siege of Orgrimmar ilevel after buying a trinket with JP. Between those raids and doing Isle of Thunder dailies the first pair of legendary quests were done in a week, but I had to wait for reset to get Sha again to start the 3k valor part, bah.

At this point I gemmed/enchanted/reforged and hit SoO hoping I wouldn't get booted for doing dps below the tanks. Except I never did worse than top 8 on any boss and laughed my balls off for worrying about underperforming.

So coming in at 85 it took less than two weeks to reach the point where the minimum weekly effort is running Siege LFRs and advancing the legendary cloak quest, and doing enough other crap to cap valor (trivial). Everything else is pretty much optional, like working through Isle of Thunder/Timeless quests and the various storyline crap I've missed since 5.1. Which isn't to say there isn't more than enough to do, but given how long there is to do it, there's no pressure to log in for hours every damn day like before.

Its kinda a gray area.

I tend to like Kosak and Stockton more so they with Furor will probably be heading the show. Grey area indee.

Who will be the new Warchief? That job's title should totally be Warchief.

I dunno but one could argue that the game started to take a shit after he signed on. He started communicating with people on the forums during the WoTLK beta shortly after hiring him.

That is not a 60 day time card that you get free. It's something else that costs $19.99. 60 day game cards cost $29.99. You can see the price in the picture.

Legendary cloak is a huge boost to dps as a mage. Really quite absurd in many ways, but it does make the effort feel very worthwhile.
