That seems to be a problem isolated to BfA for a lot of users, including myself, where buttons don't actually fire, or they activate the GCD but still don't fire. I've never had a problem with D3 and ability latency. I have a 50 ping on average usually.

I've been doing large scale wpvp when bored and we routinely halt entire zones because this MMO is incapable of having.. massive amounts of multiplayers online. 40v40 raids in any zone will lag everyone in it until enough people die. It's also kind of atrocious that AV ran better 14 years ago than it does now, for the same reason.

Yeah, I encountered that issue several times myself, and I know it was one of the reasons they made the change, but I remember them talking about server load issues as well. Certainly possible I'm misremembering that though.

The latin/brazil/oceanic servers being cross realm really nuked a lot of enjoyment I had out of the game as I often play outside of American prime time. The LA/BR players are some of the most obnoxious and shitty players I've ever encountered in gaming, and the oceanic servers resulted in horrible latency. I would also level a lot of alts including doing random dungeons and trust me when I say that playing with 1 or more of them in a lowbie dungeon was less pleasant than getting a root canal.

This brings up an excellent point. If their reasoning for removing the portals is because is ruins immersion and they want to make the world feel bigger than they can shove the CRZ system right up their stupid assholes. If you want to argue immersion then get rid of that shit, you can't have it both way you Blizzard fuck stains.

LATAM players are a problem in World of Tanks, too. 99% of the time I have been team killed was by LATAM players. The same goes for being pushed out of cover or being blocked.

I'd say whoever earlier was right: the reason is to keep people logged on longer. That is a metric they care immensely about, despite its detriment to the game.

They seem to think that when we get on a flight path we're sitting there furiously jerking off while we admire the landscape. When in reality most players just tab out to browse forums, watch videos, take a shit, or whatever. I guess more people AFK at flight points equals more time played though!

The amount of time I spent afk'd at flight points during Legion...sheesh. Funny thing though was I'd see a chat bubble pop up randomly while my character was idle, "hey dude", oh sorry, I'm alt-tabbed. Odd to think I was OK just leaving my character logged in back then so I could immediately play when I'd get a break during work.

Noodle is correct, if time logged is the metric they are after then you tabbing out while the flightpath goes for the next 5 minutes doesn’t matter to them at the end of the day you are logging time.

I'd laugh if the Battlenet launcher captures http traffic that Blizz then packages along with your deets and sells it on the information supermarket. Aha! The real reason for long flight paths and their hatred of flying has been revealed! The real reason why BFA feels so laggy? They are putting AI on your tug times and shopping habits and selling it to third parties.

Knowing this, we can bankrupt Blizzard in a week if we all tug to and buy fan belts for a 63 Chevrolet Impala.
