I'd bet a tit fuck from Jaina that the Corruption system was already planned to be a thing and it was simply a last minute decision to remove titanforging and "replace" it with the system they were going to do anyways.

Imagine having to deal with corruption AND titanforging ilevels. That certainly would get these cuck devs hard

The essence or w/e really fucked any desire I had to return casually for the last content patch. And this corruption system is a triple get fucked.

Why are they doing this? "Engagement" numbers on a continually declining sub count?

It looks like Ion did state that the variable levels of corruption on those items will become static. That at least helps negate one layer of rng off the system.

Well, that's my point. It looked like a huge fucking grind on one character for the 4 ranks (including PVP for some of them, fuck that).

And then I'd have to do it on one or two of my alts? Noped out immediately before even researching what the good ones for each spec were.

yuuuuuup. It's a fantastic system but I don't think I'll be playing BFA because of it. I enjoy paladin a ton so it's not that big of a problem but I wanted to try to spriest just to have a ranged char and eh.

Essences should be account wide, full stop. If not fully account wide then put some light restrictions in.

Hell, you should get a major rep boost for having exalted on any toon on your account to begin with, like 5X the rep. FUCK all those rep grinds on alts.

The way they are implemented right now is cancer wrapped in AIDS. Main swapping involves insane amount of grinding.

Seriously though, they don't seem to get that players would be happier if there was some kind of end to the treadmill each tier. Nobody wants to chase the carrot forever; there has to be a stopping point where you're "done" and feel like a badass for a while until the next tier/reset comes out.

I think it's been clear for a very long time now, that Blizzard cares very little for the "feelings" or "wants" of individuals, or even large segments of their player-base.

Behind all the marketing bullshit, they are selling a very powerful drug, and they are diligently monitoring/maximising the addiction level, and the number of users. I'm not suggesting for a moment that they haven't made some big mistakes along the way, but I'm certain that's their only serious motivation nowadays.

I've genuinely rage-quit the game for long stretches in the past few years, swearing I'd never EVER return, and yet my interest is still there, and I keep hoping for changes that would bring me back. I'm just no longer part of the designated target "user" group. I've understood that for quite some time now, and ironically, it's a bitter pill to swallow.

So, after my last rather depressing post, and now that my experiment with Classic is over; I've still got ~3 weeks left before my sub expires, and thought I might as well have a crack.

What the hell, I've got a Druid, Rogue, Monk, Hunter and Pally all @110+, and need to pick just one. Thinking the Monk (for the 3 roles) but also maybe the Rogue just for Sin spec.

Not entirely sure, and it doesn't matter much in the end I suppose, but anything I should completely avoid?

They're all fine. Depending on what role you want to play, the Monk/Rogue/Druid are the most likely ones to make for quick pick up Mythic+ if you want to try that. Hunter may have a bit more of a wait on M+ because people are idiots who think you need Mythic Invitational comps to do midlevel keys. They should all be able to get into pick-up raids, although on the Monk folks'll probably want you to be on Tanking or Healing since WW's pretty low on the meters right now (Not an issue in Mythic+, where their burst AOE is good once you know how to do it, and where they bring multiple AOE crowd control effects). Brewmaster is baller both in M+ and in Raid, and they dumbed it way the fuck down this expansion so you're basically just spamming buttons to maintain permanent ironskin brew buff for most content.

Pretty burned out on the current classic, if we at least had WSG, I'd have more interest to login regular.

Still got the WoW itch though, so I suppose I'll grab BFA while it's on sale. I figure at worst, I can get a month of content out of it. Druid, DH, or Mage on Hyjal, I'm not sure which to go with. How is tanking for druid/DH in BFA?

They're "second tier" tanks in most content right now, but I doubt if you're just popping in that you'll touch any of the extremes where you actually feel any inferior. There's not a huge difference between the "best" tanks and the "lesser" ones atm.

DH tanking still feels great to play, and was sufficient for all of my guild's Mythic+ and raid stuff this expansion, until the raidgroup fell apart due to various mid-life crisises and BFA being soul-draining.

I've never enjoyed the feel of Bear tanking, so I can't comment on it.

Yeah I forgot the mobility of DH too, I'll prob go with him then, if its anything remotely like Legion. Recall it was fun class to level as well.

If I don't hate it (BFA) I'll likely just end up splitting my time between Classic/Live. Bonus being I could just farm on live, and pay my subs that way i guess?

Well first impressions of BFA are shit. I crashed multiple times during first quest/scenario and then got dropped to my death in Ogrim, and somehow finished the scenario.

This normal? I don't have a potato for a PC either.
