I'm not going to go find it but she literally talked about it on twitter before, as well as one of the blizzcon panels. Most of her job is just ingame cinematics, which are usually conclusions to stories that were already being made or told.You can find it somewhere in one of the wow wiki sources

but STILL yeah, some of it is just.. absurd

is anyone actually getting any corrupted gear at all? I've not gotten a single piece since the first quest you do with Magni. I feel like I'm being fucking ripped off rn

We can still hope that Mythic Nzoth has a different ending.

But yeah, this might be the first expansion I just drop my sub after killing the end boss instead of fucking around on alts for the 2 years remaining until shadowlands.

To be fair the whole world and overarching narrative is inspired by Warhammer and taped together with tropes and pop culture references. But the motivations of the factions/leaders at least made some sense. If you boil down BfA it would be best described with "no one knows".

I blame Golden not for the current mess, but for the fact that after Metzen left no one seems to give a fuck anymore.

This is fundamentally the overarching problem Blizzard projects to the outside: everyone is just doing their job, and no one has the balls to stand up and either say "maybe this isn't such a great idea", or "this doesn't make sense.". Which should've been pretty obvious, but maybe we just get half of the picture and they planned more things which were cut, or they were so deep down their own koolaid bubble that they had formed some sort of development Stockholm syndrome.

Same here. And I've gotten azerite gear that requires 25 corruption to activate. Nowhere close to that, especially with the cloak adding corruption resistance. I've gotten gloves twice from the weekly assault reward.

On my main? I have the one, single piece of corrupted gear you always get.

On my alt? That I do nothing but PVP with? Six pieces, including one with Infinite Stars.

Sure yeah it's cheezy dialogue, that's fine. I'm not expecting fine literature or thought provoking metaphors when I come into Warcraft...but if you are gonna be a popcorn flick kind of game then you need to at least be internally consistent.

There is at least one person whose full time big-boy-pants job is to come up with this shit and somehow can't talk their way out of a paper bag.

I got a piece from the world boss that corrupts the fuck out of me but its a big enough DPS boost that I just deal with the random eyeballs chasing me around and tentacles.

I just want.. any corrupted gear whatsoever lol. I say I got one "since" then but I actually mean I only got the first one that everybody gets and then after that - nothing.

If you can cleanse corrupted items then why the fuck can the corrupted items drop un-corrupted

Because when you replace one shitty system (titanforging), you have to replace with a new, even shittier system. This is the law of Blizzard.

I think a lot of the stuff simply was not going to drop last week and this week with the ilevel boost is really when you start seeing them appear. I got a couple so far this week although I can only really use one of the two right now or I will become n'zoth and devour the world or something.

It is almost impressive they were able to take Titanforging and make it worse. That makes a special kind of disdain at your playerbase to accomplish.

Yep well the designed the shit ass personal loot system and now these top guilds are just stacking 20 of the same class on a heroic run and funneling all the gear to one guy. They literally accomplished nothing that the top end guilds won't overcome. This corrupted shit will be the exact same.
