Heh, my government passed a law a few months ago, basically it allows revenue fraud services (like the IRS in US) to watch social media for tax fraud. Almost everyone was like "heh who cares, no one's dumb enough to go on facebook and tell they cheat their taxes".
Well, some started to sweat hardcore because as I learned it's an established trend here to get unemployment / social welfare benefits while living off donations. There's also a lot of shady business going on between the curtains, like
this one for example.
The obvious problem here is, minus the top 1-5% than can be considered as legit entrepreneurs, a lot of them aren't really doing anything than playing videogames 24/7 and whenever donations or social benefits will go dry they'll be out for a job in a post-Covid pandemic economy where people without job skills or experience will have little to no value. And they have visibility, they're in their rooms with IKEA furniture stacked with goodies from companies, showing gullible people this an okay lifestyle, just get subs and endorsements bro.
During SWG back in 2004, my friends and I ranged from 14 to 25 years old and fifteen years after almost 95% of us have stable jobs, families etc because even when we woke up everyday at 5 to farm the fucking rares mob spawns after server reset, spending the rest of the day dancing in cantinas and scheming guild warfare, we all knew this wasn't gonna last. What's gonna happen fifteen years from now?
