He has no obligation to tone down shit talking about the state of the game. Asmon said on stream he doesn't give a fuck if the guy thinks he is an asshole, he had more of an issue that a verified Blizzard rep gave visibility to some random Twitter 'victim' post that was actively encouraging people to harass Asmon in FF14

I agree but the clip we're talking about happened today, a few days after the event. So while Asmon is well within his right to be pissed he'd rather just let it go than dwell on it. I guess I wasn't clear when I said 'shit talking' I mostly meant talking shit about the Bliz employee specifically. He's still gonna take a dump on Bliz as a whole whenever he can but he seems to want this specific event to go away.

What they're going to try and rationalize is she was missing a piece (half?) of her soul, which is what the Jailer gave back to her in the cinematic.

The actual reason up to this point is the usual shitty writing.
