or at least bump it to 3k per week. I seriously hate getting a sidegrade now because I don't want have to spend a weeks worth of valor upgrading it.
It is pretty frustrating. I have a robe, trinket I won this week, offhand/mainhand combo, and neck sitting in my bank right now because my 4/4 flex would be the same as a 1/4 normal. I'll be able to wear it all in a month, I guess.

Inside of this maze of spoiler tags, there is a beta code for WoW that I just got from IGN. First come first serve. Enjoy.

Ok, that's enough. The next one will have the code.

I picked it up at first planning on giving it a try, but remembered that I quit WoW for a reason quite a few expansions ago. No reason to get re-addicted now.

Does recount do a thing where it doesn't count numbers correctly or something?

Because I haven't played since the original Cata launch raids. I picked up the MoP trial, did the first zone, so I'm in quest greens. I did all the 5-mans I missed: ZG, ZA, and the 3 time-travel Heroic Cata dungeons, then the 2 normal MoP dungeons it'd let me queue for (temple and brewery). Except for the people I ran ZG and ZA with, I ranged from "crushing it in #1" to "In #1 by a decent margin". That's having never seen the dungeons before, not reading up on them in the slightest, just doing my work, standing out of the fire, etc. Some bosses took a minute to figure out what was going on for me and I made some mistakes, but I still never died. Maybe 2 or 3 other people total across all LFG groups got a "first run" achievement besides me.

Are LFG people really this bad? I had no special gear, no knowledge, and obviously all of them had ran it before on some toon or another. According to Noxxic, shadow priests are even pretty shitty this expansion, overall. I was top DPS typically for both damage done overall and damage done on bosses.

Not sure why you're surprised; this is no different than the WoW playerbase pre-Cata.

MoP greens are also waaaaay better than Cata ones. Most people Q'ing for temple and brewery do so as fresh 85s, with only part or none of the Jade Forest quests done. Some people level all the way to 90 like that, i.e. not giving much of a shit about quests. I've seen an alarming number of level 90s in heroics that still have a couple of Cata items equipped, or even WotLK. And ALL people Q'ing for Cata heroics are in Cata gear. The fuck are you doing in those?

As I said in my post - I was just checking out the 5-mans I had missed.
hehe I can understand the curiosity, but I wouldnt recommend doing them more than once or twice. Maybe later after you're geared to get the chievs etc. But even the Heroic versions are useless in the scheme of gearing up, unfortunately. So, to put your answer into perspective - Those people that are doing those dungeons with you are fucking clueless or just dungeon grinding to 90. Either way, they arent going to care, know how, or be pressed to have MAX DPS YO. So it all depends on what you're trying to achieve, yourself.

The quickest way to have an Epeen is to just forego the dungeons, quest to 90, go to/farm Timeless Isle for a 3-4 hours, queue up for LFR SoO and start your treadmill of SoO. Downloading "Achievement Faker" will probably be required at this point, just like the other guy.

Yep! I was just running them once to see them, that's it. When I buy MoP (and have enough free weekends in a row to justify a fucking sub, man I hate subs), I'll just quest to 90 then hit up Timeless Isle, then LFR. But I like to always see old content at least once. I'd like to check out the old Cata and MoP raids too at some point, but it'll probably have to be later in WoD's lifespan to find enough people to just over power it. On my (now dead as shit) server, we had an "oldschool" channel where people would regularly put together runs for old raids. That's how I saw all of Vanilla and BC raids, heh (during Wrath).

You can reliably LFR the old MoP raids, surprisingly. Depending on your class and gear, you can solo or duo just about everything pre MoP in 10 man Normal mode. I tried soloing Fire Lands stuff when I was 520ish and got my ass kicked. Tried again after getting some heroic gear and I could do most of the content that didnt require 2 people, by myself. My tank partner (I play a monk and he plays a DK) and I did everything and hell, the two of us can do some of the earliest MoP raids too! You can always put a group together for a quicker return, but you lose the option to loot whatever you want, then. Just goes to show how OP Tanks are atm.

Speaking of monks, why the fuck did they remove the silence component from my Monks spear hand strike?

I can understand a lot of the nerfs and changes to Monk, but taking away some of their utility just makes me QQ. Didnt even think it would be that big of a deal till I dealt with the change first hand.

Silence removal isn't a monk-specific nerf. They've actively pruned the ability to silence as opposed to interrupting across the majority of the silence-sources.

I'm not really enjoying "press a button every 3-4 second" version of Windwalker they're going with.

I can't vouch for its accuracy, but I did see a tweet on mmochamp a while back that said you can play the "push a button every GCD" style still, but you have to heavily stack haste.

Isn't that like DW vs 2H too or did passives get removed?

Since Test copy was down when I got my invite, i just made a new 90 and started playing beta. You start off at ilvl 500 so I havent been paying attention to DPS at all. I can only assume Im playing with the new CD's wrong. Ill pay more attention to it when it hits retail, but anyones welcome to tell me a dps rotation for a Brewmaster in Beta.

Being *able* to reach it at massive loss of DPS is basically the same as it being gone

We had this one lady in our guild who managed to less damage than auto-attack during a raid. The only way we figured she could've done that is that she was pointed in the wrong direction for a time.

She is doing LFR's these days.

Part of it is the general badness that afflicts MMO 'casual content' and part of it is where we are in the xpac cycle.

When Blizz doubled up on item upgrades (2 > 4) a few weeks ago, I noticed a bump in raiders in LFG to re-farm valor (though many just stuck to heroic scenarios for efficiency).

I was greeted with 'wtf are you doing here' on more than one occasion by recent subs or just newer players.

Now my guild has slipped back into coma while fucking around in beta.
