I haven't gotten around to doing the Dominance Offensive stuff on my Horde character, wouldn't mind a quick synopsis.
5.3 is supposed to have even more shit with Vol'Jin, which could, as you said, simply be a buildup to him contributing in taking down Garrosh, but have we ever known Blizzard to not take the direct track when it comes to plot development? There's a clear line in place thus far, and I just can't see them not having had it all planned out since Cata.
Lor'Themar was just the obvious counterpart to Jaina for the ToT stuff. He's the only Horde racial leader with ties to the Sunreavers, who were put in as opposites to the Kirin Tor, which had to be in because Blizzard has some sort of hard-on for Jaina.
So it's just the polar opposite of the Shieldwall ones then. What about Lor'Themar in all of that makes him seem to be the next Warchief?Basically you start out and establish the base at domination point with Garrosh. You then do a bunch of quests fighting alliance. The storyline progresses to helping blood elves search for mogu artifacts and turns out some divine bell is able to make super soldiers, Garrosh wants it, the alliance snatches it just before you are able to get it. You and the blood elves then liberate the bell from Darnassus. Jaina gets really mad about the bell and starts killing blood elves, ejecting them from Dalaran. You help the blood elves escape Dalaran, and then help Garrosh use the bell. Using the bell causes the troops to go mad and you kill them off, then some human prince, forgot his name, sneaks up and does something to the bell, at which point Garrosh kills him but the bell is destroyed in the process. Garrosh ends it by saying he will find another way to make the soldiers he wants and gives you a purple mount for your trouble.
Alot of the details and conversations with the blood elves while your rescuing them.So it's just the polar opposite of the Shieldwall ones then. What about Lor'Themar in all of that makes him seem to be the next Warchief?
I made it from lvl 80 (quit sometime during wotlk) to lvl 85 on my warlock and still have no idea what I'm doing.not knowing what the hell happened to my characters and abilities.
So WOW really did become guitar hero?two easy things to do are look at the class guides athttp://noxxic.comorhttp://www.icy-veins.com/(people argue endlessly about which one is better, doesnt matter if you are just fucking around) and then go install the mod Bitten's SpellFlash + Bittens_YourClass. Drag all your spells to your hotbars and tada, the game massively lights up the next optimal button to press.
I don't honestly even know what spells I am pressing anymore when I run LFR on my alts I just follow the shiny. Yeah, its pretty much one step away from a bot and I'm not even sure what's the point of playing but it makes it easy to rewatch Game of Thrones while getting epix.
ElvUI is also an excellent all-around interface (http://tukui.org), does like a million things with a pretty UI that comes all preconfigured.
This is exactly why I quit. The fights aren't clever or fun and especially not with LFR calibre people.I dunno. The one I was in wiped on it around the same number of times as the first time I did Ji-Kun before killing it.
The real fucking problem with him is the Eye Sore spell graphics. Void zones are one thing, but giant fucking clouds of constantly moving and shifting graphic effects that easily fuck with your head? It's just stupid. Then you get to Dark Animus, which is in a room that is entirely red and dark, and you have to avoid... of course... the red fucking fire on the ground.
It's just more bullshit that makes the ever increasing number of "avoid the bad shit!" mechanics harder than it needs to be. My reaction time is more than enough, but it means fuck all when I can't see what it is I'm supposed to be avoiding because of retarded lighting, colour design, silly amounts of projected textures from friendlies that I do not need to see, and a myriad of other crap.
The game focuses almost entirely on avoiding spacial AOE now. It's the crutch of their PVE design. It results in fights that are just stressful and overly frantic, and with the visual complications on top of that, I'm really not sure if I want to bother with them anymore.
