World of Warcraft: Current Year

I prefer holy to disc but I suppose that's because I like aoe healing - which is particularly weak on the paladin.

I think it's the chakra shit that I really hate. I know it's better now than it used to be but it's still terrible.

Healing is about using the right tool at the right time. Having the way you heal being gated by a 30 second cooldown severely limits how you heal. On the other side, one can make the argument that it having the cooldown makes it more of a choice and forces you to think about how and when to switch chakras rather than just doing it all the time.

But there's no other healer with a similar system, so holy priests should probably be stronger than their counterparts at whatever role they choose for the time being. I feel like the reward doesn't pay off for the risk in the current model.

I may be misreading your post, but it's only a 10 second cooldown with the Enhanced Chakras perk. That's what I meant by it being better now than it used to be, although seeing as they also drastically reduced the power of the chakras themselves for WoD as well, I guess "better" in this case really just means "easier to ignore." Most people seem to just sit in Sanctuary almost all the time.

The problems I have with chakras are that:

- HW: Sanctuary heals for so little that it's not even worth a GCD to put down.

- Serenity would be nice, and the HW is actually useful, but the renew-refresh thing doesn't work consistently. Especially with glyphed Binding Heal. People have been reporting this bug for over two years now.

Whoa, I actually had no idea they lowered the cooldown. I only started leveling a new priest (my old one is abandoned with all the awesome gladiator mounts and shit on another server and faction - cba giving them 50 euro just to play it) so I had no idea they added a perk to it. Suddenly I wanna level it up a bit more, that does make it more appealing at least.

The third chakra should just be removed though. holy word chastise just seems so dumb

Vitality, does this please your inner goblin? Going to keep buying up crystals throughout the day -- people keep listing them at market value (500ish) or below. The true question is: what other enchanters are doing the same thing..

Vitality would be popping boners if he saw the prices on a server like Area 52. I turned 150k into 300k already, and I'll be making four 670-680 upgrades on Tues. Buy the elemental crap while you still can because you can expect that shit to skyrocket by Weds as people churn out upgrades. It's probably already too late. I don't buy bloods - why else am I spending time feeding that fucking barn. It generates more leather than I can use with two chars, and just enough blood. I only have to buy the element stuff.

To give you an idea of how little shits I put into making gold, MOP was the first time I broke 50k and most of that came from pooping out lw daily enchants and royal bags with 0 effort. I guess I'll be buying up a ton of missing heirlooms with it so I can have that level 1 mount and make legions of alts to abandon. I'm too cheap to waste it on 15 more multistrike. They really need to buff the high end enchants/gems because that price gap is absurd for what you get. (another tier added in 6.1?)

What is max follower ilevel going to be tomorrow? I look forward to clearing out some bag space. If it's just 665 it won't make much of a dent. I have 3 guys left to turn epic for no real reason. I wish I could send that shit to my alt because I'm a bit OCD with the follower game and he has a LONG way to go with his legion of blue 100s. Just got his first highmaul mission, which took every upgrade I had to 100%.

Going straight to heroic BRF tomorrow. Let the wipefest begin. I'm going to shatterbomb the shit out of some healers.

Er, you're talking about a bunch of 6.1 stuff there.

Er, but the BRF follower missions are 660. So they are NYI? 6.1? No new tradeskill upgrades either, to match the new raid content?

Nope, but look at the bright side: you've got plenty of time to get X (speculation = 21) heroic kills to be sure that your first BRF raid mission rewards a mythic crate.

That's pretty goofy. Maybe they were originally intended to go out at the same time?

Depends on the invasion some like the shadowmoon one with the right people I have gotten 1400 points on. Some like the damn iron horde one even going crazy DPS mode barely get much over 1k on that and I don't see even 1100 being viable on that. They will probably have to up some of the stuff during the events especially for the stingier ones.

Goren and shadowmoon are also good. Goren is just crazy if you have something like starfall or barrage available as its just hordes and hordes of thiny things so the points add up really rapidly if you have the AOE to not get swamped.
