Did Ruhkmar in a PUG this morning and it was gloriously terrible. A victory was pulled out in the end, but only due to extreme dedication and fighting nearly on top of a graveyard. Such delightful chaos and amazement as people completely fail to handle the add phoenixes with anything approaching competence.

My first encounter used a mass zerg technique with literally 100+ people. The second one thought it would be great to fight on a narrow path where it was difficult to avoid the ash piles. It was funny reading all the " Stop stepping on the piles". Maybe fight him in a more open area?? Actually won that fight as well.

Man tanks don't give a fuck about healers. I've leveled a blood DK and a survival hunter to 100 and I'm currently working on my restoration druid, who is 95. I grind as a boomkin and when I enter random dungeons, I immedIately say "one second, need to switch specs." Tank proceeds to pull 2-3 groups of trash every-damn-time. They don't give a fuck about your mana or the fact that you're burning cool downs on trash. Very annoying.
The flip side to this is that tanks assume the group will flip out and pull themselves if you don't. I do take a few seconds at the start to drop a feast and ask if anyone's new... but *shrug*.

This. Especially when these instances are old news. 75% of the time, if I don't gogogogo right as I phase in, someone else does.

I can agree with that as well. Levelling a monk tank and if I am not pulling within 10 seconds of zoning in, the mage is pulling

Done that too many times than I can count. Usually 3 of us with queue together as tank/healer/dps and it is quite amusing watching some dps get antsy or not avoid a pat and we watch them die then continue on.

Ok, after a week of a lot more raiding than what I usually can pull from my peons, this is my current standing:
9/10 normal - everything is easy, blackhand annoys me to no end because people are godawful at standing where they are suppose to be. Oh noes, I got a bomb, better run around a circle.

7/10 heroic. Blast furnace is what stopped our progress, everything beside it was fairly easy. I feel like this boss is way too overtuned, especially if your group is small. We went with 14-15 or so and it just felt too clunky. My guild keeps forcing the split strat but I still think going together so you get more dps on the foreman is the way to go. Any input here is appreciated. We were thinking of just dropping everyone sub-675 to try with our highest dpsers / healers but that would likely put us at a 10-11 man, which might just as well make the fight even harder. If they nerf gruul because of some bullshit scaling, it wouldn't surprise me at all if there were bigger problems with harder bosses

Tonight will hopefully kill blackhand on normal or go for iron maidens on heroic, unsure yet.

We did 10/10 normal and 9/10 heroic this week and our average ilevel was 676.6 (Warcraft Logs - Combat Analysis for Warcraft). Iron Maidens, in my opinion, is easier than Furnace, but it is a clusterfuck at the end.

We had about 15 pulls over two days on heroic Furnace. We lusted in the beginning and split the raid in half after lust faded. Our first hurdle was with bombs getting run to the doors equally in the beginning and melee not ignoring the bombs as they were dropped. After that was sorted, we struggled with getting people to pay attention to bringing their slags into the primal range to pop their shield. I would say most of our pulls were dedicated to cleaning up phase 2. We saw phase 3 twice and killed the boss the second time with only one person dead.

I would so wait for the mage to go splat in that case. MMO Darwinism.
Eh this type of shit just makes the run take longer. On rare occasions I feel like going to Trolltown, but for the most part, I just do what I need to do to wrap a 5 man up as fast and clean as possible.

On the other end of the spectrum, first week of normal PUGs and I got up to 6/10N. From the grouping with randoms category, anything that involves movement will quickly tell the quality of your PUG. Operator / Oregorger are really good benchmarks. I am not sure if I got lucky, but Hans / Franz seems like a really easy fight even with the amount of movement.

I got lucky last night and got in a group that had one guild group in it and the rest PUGs. One shot operator and spent the next couple of hours wiping to Maidens. We eventually got them down. The last 20% is just brutal. I was more thankful the group stayed together.

Definitely enjoying BRF so far. I like the atmosphere / bosses more than HM, but that just may be novelty at this point. I am up to 6/7H HM, still cannot manage to PUG out a H Imp kill. Wouldn't mind getting AOTC at some point as it is becoming a more common requirement.

Chances are if the DPS is pulling it is because the tank is just plain taking too long

Pugfinder was a nightmare for me this week. I had a ton of trouble getting invites for even normal brf at 668. When i did get in it was a bunch of idiots nonstop. 20+ wipes to Gruul before I lucked into two damn tanks who could figure it out. Entire raids getting smashed by Hans n Franz... half the people leave after one attempt then you get new people who suck all over again. Only managed to get 3/10 and it felt like a gigantic waste of time. Dont even get me startes on heroic groups not even making it through trash. Ugh

I know most of you guys are focused on pve only, but holy balls, am throwing the towel with my ww monk in pvp. Lemme save any of you that thought of rolling monk for ww pvp some precious time.

My rogues finally 100, in blue pvp gear and its still a night and day difference compared to monk. Also, to anyone who arenas half seriously, those druids man. Was there any seasons druids were in a bad spot?? That class is so imba.

Why not stand up your own raid and make it 665 AOTC-required?
Largely because I don't want the responsibility. Secondly, because I don't have AOTC and am not 665+ (657) myself and I don't want to be that guy.

Perhaps I will feel differently once I am left with only really needing Imp gear and / or next tier is on the way.

Was there somebody on proudmoore that played alliance on here? turns out i have a few friends on proudmoore as well so i'm probably going to transfer my priest there and go disc/holy at 100. Figured i may as well double dip into a guild if i can

People spoof the achievement with a mod and looking at everyones armory is a pain in the ass. By the time you find people others have gotten impatient and left. If you wipe once half the raid calls each other scrubs and dickbutts and leaves so you get to repeat the process.

It will get better as people learn the fights... i hope. HM pugging is decent usually except koragh. F that guy.
